Guys, game is great despite the technical issues it has.

Kurisu4971d ago

I agree, this game is stunning!

AKS4970d ago

I agree. I'm very glad I gave it a shot. The story has stayed with me. I'm very interested in the DLC now.

Downtown boogey4970d ago

But is it doing anything new, really?

El_Colombiano4970d ago

Andy Serkis is very talented and I admire his work in both Heavenly Sword and Enslaved.

AKS4970d ago

I love it when talents from other media and forms of entertainment get involved in gaming (except perhaps Ebert; LOL!). Serkis seems very open to trying to improve cinematic elements in gaming and doesn't show any snobbery despite coming from a key role in one of the biggest spectacles in film history, the Lord of the Rings films.

Ninja Theory doesn't seem to be well liked on this website, but hopefully even their critics could admire their collaborative relationship with Andy Serkis. I wonder if Andy will ever do any work with Quantic Dream or Naughty Dog? I'd also love it if Doug Jones, the guy who played the freaky Pale Man and the faun in Pan's Labyrinth and several other makeup/ tech heavy roles, got as involved as Serkis in gaming.

Incredible game.

Andy Serkis is definitely a favorite actor of mine.

Any other LotR freaks out there?

being_in_itself4970d ago

Hello there Mr. fellow Illinoisan - we met again - couldn't respond in the Fallout post as I'm a 3 bubble wonder.

I too am a rabid LotR fan. Rebought all of em just for the true versions - the extended cuts. Good times.

Acquiescence4970d ago

really enjoyed it. Now to get the rest of the trophies.

For those who are wanting to pick this up Amazon has it on for the deal of the day for 49.99 very rare for a new game that only came out last week. I guess it didn't sell to well for them.

11 video games that are actually based on books

GR:
Video games are distilled magic. They're able to transport us to far off places and let us play inside the worlds their creators have imagined for us. But before all of this newfangled technology took over, there was another way to escape into the realm of the fantastical: they're called books, and they're kind of important.

i am dying for a next gen Parasite Eve! This serie has so much potential..
One of my favorite of all time (on PS1).

DarkOcelet3000d ago

Tetsuya Nomura (Director of Kingdom Hearts Franchise and FFVII Remake) said he wanted to do a Current gen Parasite Eve game.

Add to that, we saw an Easter Egg of Aya Brea in FFVII Remake, i think Parasite Eve for Curent gen is coming.

I hope he does but it has to be horror. We haven't had a good traditional horror RPG for a long time (at least on home consoles) and I am hoping that a new PE would one of many to fill that void.

bouzebbal3000d ago

i love you man! you just gave me hope there!
PE is an amazing hybrid RPG/horror. PE2 was a slap in my face that game was unbelievable.
I think Aya is such a badass that i actually liked 3rd birthday, but let's not forget it was a mobile game in the beginning. A point and click type of game like MGS touch i believe.

DarkOcelet3000d ago

Parasite Eve 1 and 2 were horror for the most part.

The 3rd Birthday... Lets just pretend that game never happened.

And i agree, we need more horror RPG games and we need Aya Brea back :3
