Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together Gameplay Trailer Revealed

Tactics Ogre is one of the most beloved Strategy Role-Playing Games (SRPG) titles of all time, with the game being the only one to place in the Japanese gaming magazine Weekly Famitsu's "Top 20 games voted by readers" for fourteen years running. Sadly, the original version of the game was never officially published in Europe, however, that is about to be rectified in spectacular fashion, as Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together is currently in development for PAL territories.

The game plays really well. Good for most any TRPG fan.

MrMccormo4948d ago

Yes indeed! This and the Disgaea series are my two favorite SRPG games on the market!

dredgewalker4948d ago

Whoah! Yeah! It's been a while since I had a taste of TRPG's and it's a new Tactics Ogre!

Capt-FuzzyPants4948d ago

OMG That looked AMAZING Looks like one of those classic games.

TANUKI4948d ago

I love medieval/fantasy based games. Even better that this is an RPG-esque game.

Ult iMate4948d ago

And even better that this is an RPG from Yasumi Matsuno team.

Relientk774948d ago

Tactics Ogre is the best TRPG of all time PERIOD

The Most Underrated PS1 RPGs

When it comes to the best PlayStation 1 RPGs, we’ve all heard Final Fantasy this, Chrono Chross that. Two problems that emerge when a steady stream of blockbusters are released on a system is is that some of the very good RPGs are crowded out and some games are less great in the eyes of players who experienced the best games on the system.

Legend of Dragoon Proper Remake!
Enuf said.

Jiub862d ago

I would rather have a Legend of Dragoon remake over all the FF7 ones tbh

bouzebbal862d ago

Some cool games right there.. I will add threads of fate it was an excellent action RPG

RpgSama862d ago

That's a good list, I would add Koudelka, such a great Horror Jrpg and the precursor to the shadow hearts games

bouzebbal861d ago

Oh mannnn! We have a true gamer right here!

Brave Fencer Musashi and Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together

Magog862d ago

Vagrant Story. So sad it never got a sequel.

pietro1212862d ago (Edited 862d ago )

Agreed. I'd love another Matsuno directed Square-Enix game especially if it took place in Ivalice.

BlaqMagiq1862d ago

Threads of Fate. Deserves a remake. That's all I'm gonna say.

Parasite Eve and my favorite Xenogears

Jiub862d ago

If they made a Parasite Eve set in NYC that was kinda open world-ish, I'd play every second of it

Fist4achin862d ago

Much needed. I second it for PE.

pietro1212862d ago

Outside of Cyberpunk, you have really good taste in games. ;P

VersusDMC862d ago

They need to stop waisting money on their yearly bombs(quiet man, left alive, balan wonderland) and just remake the first Parasite Eve. Just use the FF7R gameplay(pretty much the next generation PE combat if you think about it) and engine and you're good to go.

10 Best Classic JRPG Games That Need a Modern Remake in 2021

From Xfire: "There seems to be some sort of JRPG renaissance going on these past few years.

In addition to new entries of long-running franchises being released on multiple platforms and new IPs being introduced, some classic JRPG games are getting the love that they rightfully deserve in the form of a remake.

Case in point, Legend of Mana, and of course, who can forget the Final Fantasy 7 Remake?

But while there's a growing number of classic JRPG titles that are being remade for modern audiences, there are still far more that aren't getting enough attention and are in desperate need of a modern remake in 2021 and beyond."

Terry_B1156d ago

Shadow Hearts & Xenogears.

Knightofelemia1156d ago (Edited 1156d ago )

Wild Arms, Xenogears, Xenosaga trilogy, Arc the Lad, Alundra, Golden Axe Warrior, FF Crisis Core, Ar Tonelico, Rouge Galaxy.

TricksterArrow1155d ago

Wild Arms already has a remake! A bit subpar, IMO. But it's decent.

O-D-C1156d ago

Anything with 'Xeno' in the title... and Baten Kaitos.

Vits1155d ago

First I would like to have the originals easily available again. Than the remakes, that way it's assured that the classic version is still "gettable" in case de remake sucks or take unwanted liberties.

5 Games Like Project Triangle Strategy That You Can Play Today

Xfire writes: "Announced at the latest Nintendo Direct, Project Triangle Strategy (a working title), is a tactical role-playing "2D HD game" described as something that is "full of choices and consequences" and that looks a lot like their vastly underrated modern JRPG, Octopath Traveller.

But while the upcoming title is visually similar to something from 2018, it actually has far more similarities with titles released way back in the past. Coincidentally, some of these titles, Square Enix ended up either developing or publishing themselves.

With that said, we've decided to round up some of the best games likes Project Triangle Strategy that you can play today."
