Sony Forced To Disassociate Itself With Eco-Fascist Group

As a result of the huge backlash in response to the shocking 10:10 Global climate change infomercial, in which children are liquidated for not expressing support for reducing carbon emissions, Sony has been forced to disassociate itself from the eco-fascist group behind the video.

In an email, Sony Europe Director of Corporate Communications Nick Sharples has “taken the decision to disassociate ourselves from 10:10 at this time.”

However, Sony still remains committed to “its objective to reduce carbon emissions,” indicating that the disgraceful PSA has done nothing to shift Sony’s support for the global warming scam.

I just trying to show that this is really serial but no one is taking me serial! Its SUPER SERIAL

BattleAxe4967d ago (Edited 4967d ago )

The whole Carbon Credit "Cap and trade" system is just a money making sceme anyway. If we want to reduce our pollution of the earth, then Greener cars, houses, factories and appliances should be legislated into law, especially if we are facing a global catastrophy. It doesn't make sense to allow companies to pollute because they can buy some worthless carbon credits.

After all, if CO2(plant food) is warming the earth so quickly, then why allow corporations who could afford re-tool their factories, to let them buy carbon credits and continue polluting....it doesn't make sense, other than the fact that it is the corporate elite who are running this drive to impliment carbon credits, while leaving countries like China and India with the ability to pollute.

Its called make money from the rich countries (Canada, US, EU and Australia) by trading carbon credits and still be able to use child labor and poor environmental standards to keep costs low by producing goods within exempt countries like China and India.

WAKE UP PEOPLE!!

kaveti66164967d ago

Global Warming is a term that some stupid news reporter came up with and it stuck. The proper term is Global Climate Change, and it is not a scam.

Granted, the stupid cap and trade methods of going green are bullshit. But there is a pollution problem and it has to be dealt with.

HolyOrangeCows4967d ago

"The proper term is Global Climate Change"

THANK you.
Climate change is definitely happening, but the problem is, the press and companies that profit from "Global warming" exaggerate both the intensity and speed of change caused by human industrialization.

.............but we must unite to fight the real danger....ManBearPig.

Seriously, this is a messed up site.
www.prisonplanet.com/ is run by a bunch of nut-job conspiracy theorists.
They spread lies and propaganda like it's going out of style.
This should NOT be on N4G as it is not in any way a reputable site.

poindat4968d ago

And the global climate change nutjobs are any better? Haha, no. The mentioned commercial basically said "we have no concrete evidence to back our crap up, so we'll just bully and intimidate you instead."

Honestly, the fanatics on both sides of the debate are a bunch of fucking idiots.

Tony P4968d ago (Edited 4968d ago )

I didn't appreciate either.

The ad is terrible enough. Then this [prisonplanet] site tries to weigh in with its own counter propaganda?

I have my own brain, thanks.

BattleAxe4967d ago

Parapraxis, you need to WAKE THE F*** UP!

RememberThe3574968d ago

Did you guys read the rest of the article? It goes into a rant about the "global warming scam"? Feeding us propaganda about propaganda. Wonderful. Don't you love it when talk show hosts think their scientists?

Parapraxis4968d ago

Ignorance is bliss huh Zedux.
Let me guess, you're a "truther" as well.

rezzah4968d ago (Edited 4968d ago )

Sure part of it could be false information, however Im sure You have noticed the strange weather patterns for the past 5 years. Forget about their recordings and look outside for yourself.

I live in Canada and during Winter last year....it NEVER snowed until it was almost Christmas week. Naturally it starts to snow over here around late October to early or mid November. Explain that.In all my life (almost 20 freaking years) I have never experienced a winter like that.

Parapraxis4968d ago

Don't bother rezzah , climate change deniers have NO INTEREST in facts, science and reason.

foker4968d ago (Edited 4968d ago )

@Zedux haters,..

It also could be totally natural phenomen,.. I mean the human impact is really exagerated,..
1 huge vulcano burst probably does more damage to the atmosphere than entire humanity in,..maybe a dacade,..or more,..

I mean we should take care of our enviroment diligently ,.. but the problem lies in big capital,.. They don't want to take responsibility and pay for sanations of their plants that are making them bilions,. and pass the bill to common folk...

So fuck them,.. All gore can kiss my ass,... Hypocrite,. his mansion has more impact on nature in a day,.. than I have in a year,...
and that euro summit,.. what the piece of farse dipped in hypocrisy,.. their planes and limos did more shit in 2 hours than we will do in a lifetime,..

snp4968d ago (Edited 4968d ago )

Thing is, that's a pretty short period of time rezzah.

In Australia - in Melbourne - we've had just over a decade of a pretty severe drought. 'I've' personally never seen anything like it, either.

The trouble is, my grandmother, who has 55 years on me, has. She's seen worse.

Weather isn't linear. Regardless whether there is or isn't anything legit about the Anthropological Global Warming theory, anecdotal evidence - 'take a look outside your window!' type thing - isn't really evidence at all (certainly not yet, at least).

Even all the most fervent scientific supporters of the theory - when they're not letting the rabble babble hype for promotions sake - would admit the trends aren't large enough yet for these sort of 'to the human eye' type confirmations to be there.

BattleAxe4967d ago (Edited 4967d ago )

Boy, it sure got super hot last winter with record breaking cold temperatures and snowfall in much of the US, China and the EU. The IPCC has an agenda, thats why if you're concerned with the facts you'll ask them why they don't take Volcanic activity above or below the ocean into consideration and they also don't take the Sun's activity into consideration. There are infact a very large number of scientists around the world, some of whom are with the IPCC, who say that we are actually going into a 50 - 70 year cooling period.

Science is supposed be on-going with old theories always being challenged by new theories, thats science. Global warming fanatics say its case closed and that we never need to look at the science again, and if you do, then you're a "denier". If the UN and the IPCC had been around during the time that people started learning that the earth was round, not flat, they would have called names like "Round Earthers, Truthers or Flat Earth Deniers". LMAO

Blitzed4967d ago (Edited 4967d ago )

If you explain why the winter before that (I live in Canada as well) was the coldest winter on record (Ontario), or why the summer of 2009 was the coldest summer on record, you'll have your answer. Weather patterns fluctuate.

How did the earth warm during ice ages? How was it possible to map the Baffin Islands north of Canada by conoe in the early 1900s when you need an ice breaker to do it now? Weather patterns change and the earth cools and warms cyclically. How else do you explain the earths many ice ages?

It's why the global warming groups no longer call it 'global warming', they now call it 'climate change'. It was too easy to poke holes in the global warming theory.

'Climate change' allows them to point and any strong weather pattern and say 'see!' without any proof connecting that weather with emissions in our atmosphere. Kind of like what you just did.

Aither4967d ago

That is exactly right. In fact over 10,000 years ago the northeastern part of the United States and most of Canada was covered in Ice. That is why the land is shaped so unevenly around states like Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire. But it wasn't man made "Co2" that caused that Ice to melt. It was a natural warming which takes place around every few century's or so. The weather gets warmer and colder as the earth moves around the sun.

Plus the reason for the heat in 1998 was caused by Solar Flares. That was found out by something called "Science" which is something that Global Warming experts don't use.

mastiffchild4967d ago

I was involved in a non related bit of research( for a couple of films and a book it turned out) a while ago which started me thinking that the climate change issue wasn't as black and white as it's officially painted. I'm not denying or confirming it myself and just think there's a lot more fluctuation BEFORE you take any man made pollution into account-stuff that has always happened, anomalies that always occurred and Volcanos that always erupted and so on.

Part of the research was to see if a writer's assertion that his characters could have been skating on the Thames at a certain time(pre industrial revolution which was the important thing in my mind as it meant pre widespread pollution by man)and we found TONS of written anecdotal AND scientific evidence scribbled down in various places from census notes to books and proto papers-and often in artworks(paintings and woodcuts in this case)that showed people did do exactly that on several different occasions. However, it had been accepted wisdom that, before our(and , as I found later, others research for other things)research people couldn't have as the Thames has never froozen solid enough since weather records began to do anything like use it forn ice skating.

Thing is during the preceding couple of hundred years to records and the ind rev people DID skate on the Thames, it DID snow in May/June and there's a lot of evidence for the seasons shifting back then as well(late harvests etc). Does that mean climate change is all BS? No, no it doesn't but, to me, it means it's a lot more complex than some would have us fear and because it doesn't fit people's arguments(on either side this happens in fairness)really convincing evidence of other things causing fluctuations is totally ignored at times. I wouldn't go calling it anything like a conspiracy at this point, though, because tons of modern research is produced with an end goal in mind meaning it often exists to support a certain viewpoint or wouldn't get funding if it didn't find certain things. Sadly, that;s just the nature of research these days -even supposedly true, honest and objective scientific research. It always depends who's funding it and what they'd really like the results to be.

Blitzed4967d ago (Edited 4967d ago )

Exactly, but the global climate change thoerists (and they ARE just theories) dont want to answer those types of questions. They prey on the gullable with half truths and skewed facts. The funniest part is they dont even have to spread it themsleves, they just put it out there the eco-freaks like Suzuki run with it. If you question thier claims they dismiss you as dim and uneducated, kind of like Parapraxis' comment above, which claims we are ignoring facts and science while presenting none. Now they are making infomercials basically saying 'get on board or well kill you.', all the while they make millions off of green technology and keep third world countries from growing as they cant afford the 'green' costs.

@Kaveti6616 there is NO doubt there is a pollution problem in this world. A HUGE pollution probelm. Air quality and water pollution around the world can attest to that. However, pollution has little to nothing to do with Global Climate Change. To anyone that disagrees; prove me wrong, youll be rich and famous.

Sarick4968d ago (Edited 4968d ago )

Some of these environmental problems such as ozone depletion are starting to reverse. It's not all of them some are still getting worse. The guys creating these advertisements don't realize the earth is could be in for something far more horrible. The sun is changing so weather will slowly heat up eventually.

It's a given that the sun is due for a massive solar flare sometime between now and 2011+. If or when this happens there won't be anymore internet, hardly any communication with almost a global total loss of power, and water. It'll quite possibly cripple the world and send it back to the 1900's. If you look it up there have been times when it's fried telegraph lines.

Most of the world isn't prepared for this and almost everything that's electronic and solid state could be destroyed. Talk about environmental nightmares. Sony and most of the industry realize that mot people are aware of environment damage and don't need crazy destruction commercials. This type of promotion isn't needed when there are more damaging problems.

I agree with Sony and you these guys spread propaganda. An association with them could be very detrimental.

foker4968d ago (Edited 4968d ago )

1900?,.. 900 more likely,.. because of a lot bigger population an total chaos,..lack of food,..
A massive Solar flare is a big no no-no for humanity,.. Only a matter of time ,..Though it might not happen so soon,.. there is always possibility,.
I think we get at least 2 days in advance to prepare,.. I think,.. and maybe there is a way to reduce damage to the infrastructure,..

BattleAxe4967d ago

The IPCC (InterGovernmental Panel on Climate Change) which is an arm of the UN has been at the center of controvercy since it was proven to have falsified documents to support their own claims that Global Warming was entirely man made.

The IPCC, former PM Gordon Brown and French Pres Sarkozy said that if we didn't impliment Carbon Credits right away that we were all doomed. These clowns are all connected, and its all about money and power. They even want to see people pay carbon taxes on owning a dog, because they breathe out CO2....maybe we'll have to pay taxes to breathe one day lol Theres some scary s**t going on and people need to understand who's doing what in the upper escellons of power in our world.

Another big scam was this last major "flu pandemic". There are investiagtions going on currently, because it looks as though that the people that run the WHO (World Health Organization) had colluded with some big pharmacuticle companies to scare everyone into taking the flu vaccine which of course the big pharmacuticle compnies whould make massive profits.

Dsnyder4967d ago (Edited 4967d ago )

I really dont believe how many people out there actually believe in this global warming stuff. If you think about it, climate change is natural for Earth. We go in and out of ice ages in cycle so the Earth cools and warms contantly. Its pretty crazy how politicians and scientists with agendas have been able to convince people that the earth has always been at one average temperature. Its even more crazy to think that out 5% emission vs 95% natural CO2 emission can affect earth in any way that nature isnt already doing.

Dont be fooled by politicians trying to get your vote. They dont give a damn about the planet. They just exacerbate small problems and make them many times bigger than they really are. Earth is always under change and just because the temperature goes up a few degrees doesnt mean that the earth will be on fire next july.

mastiffchild4967d ago

Well, whatever someone's views on climate change I think it would be wise for us all to agree that we shouldn't just take politician's words for it. Shouldn't swallow anyone's tales wholesale, actually, until you know someone's research and motives are totally pure, that they have no agenda other than a
scientific truth-just take it all with a pinch of salt. There's a lot of conflicting arguments and many with merits on both sides-so much so that I really wouldn't like to even guess at what the extent of man's actions on the climate have been.

Too many times now I've felt that this guy, this woman or this agency has had compelling arguments one way or the other but, usually, it turns out that they might well be in the position where their research HAD to come out with a certain leaning or particular set of results because of the desires of those funding said research. For me too many studies are done from the perspective of "how can we get the evidence to support what we believe/want to have been the truth?" rather than a pure one with a nul hypothesis they go all out to investigate properly and honourably scientifically.

To ignore historic evidence, be it artistic, anecdotal, written or recorded evidence jotted down by whatever means from before actual weather records began is also, imho, a little crude and unwise. There's just a ton of variables here that have been at play, probably, since well before we, or even the dinos, were around but people get their ideas form BEFORE they do the surveys and bend those findings to their own wills at times leaving the picture even more blurry. IDK what's going on exactly but by the same yardstick it surprises me just how many(and again this happens on both sides of this debate)bright people are quite happy to say they know precisely what's gone and is going on even while their findings might well differ from someone who shares their overall beliefs. there seems to be a hell of a lot of room to play between the views and results of people supposedly on the same sides of this debate and to me it's simply a bit of a mess right now with a lot of people a little too keen to protect their own reputations and not as keen to do things by the book, not entirely anyway.

It makes it hard for a layman who'd like to size up all the evidence for themslves to feel confident in a great deal of the information at hand I'm afraid.

Like foker was saying earlier, the biggest advocates are hypocrites that do more in a week than most people do in their lifetime.

Strikepackage Bravo4968d ago (Edited 4968d ago )

it also gives politicians a LOT of power to regulate and control some business, and stay in the pockets of other businesses.

If cap and trade is passed in the USA, government will decide who is taxed and how much, talk about a system designed to make politicians rich. Sad thing is if your business is not big and rich enough to buy say the Democrat party, then you will just be taxed into non existence.

Buisness news from a racist and paranoid fringe right wing site like this jerkoffs! Wow, just when I thought N4G couldn't be any less credible. This community can't be taken seriously.

Strikepackage Bravo4968d ago (Edited 4968d ago )

How do you support those claims. I hope you arent saying anyone who does not agree with man made global warming, oh wait, they changed it to climate change after the temperatures stopped rising years ago.

The fact is, we do not know that the changes in our climate are caused by man. Any scientist who challenges the status qua are bullied. If you provide evidence proving the changes are caused by anything other than man, you are ignored and/or called a right wing racist.

This is why the climate nuts are called fascists. If they can say man is hurting the planet just by breathing out carbon, they can regulate and control EVERYTHING, including your personal life, if we "racists and right wingers" let it get that far.

Ivan Drago IV4968d ago

To those that oppose climate change.. I just have to ask, don't you want to live? I mean how can people still dispute evolution and climate change? If you want to die fine, go kill yourself the right way, don't bring me down with you.

Strikepackage Bravo4968d ago

do some research on climate change dude, please, and not just at some climate change friendly sites, look at what those who oppose it have to say. There are two sides to the story, even though we are told anyone who is not for it is nuts, racists, or right wing, that is far from the truth.

I knew all of those things. I'll add one that many dont know (if you are a hardware person you do). you CAN actually swap bluray drives between systems. The drives themselves are interchangeable but the board that interfaces is not. So anyone who has a dead optical drive can just get a replacement and swap the interface board and be back to reading discs in no time. I've had to do this myself on both a 20gb B01 as well as a 40gb L01 unit.

you can also replace the spinning hdd with an SSD for improved (not life changing) performance as well as quieter and cooler system reliability. The physical spinning drives draw more current and generate heat as a result. Using an SSD means no moving parts and thus will have less current draw and reduced fan noise from not having to spin as much as usual to offset any heat generated by the spinning hdd.

shinoff21831h ago

I never even thought of that. If I can ever track down a reasonable true backward compatibility one the first thing I'll do is ssd it up.

You missed some great games then. Especially the variety. Ps3 lacked compared to before and after.

It had great games but it lacked compared to every other ps system. The variety went out the window. Game budgets got higher that's when developers stopped taking chances. Indies weren't quite going full speed like the ps4 generation. It's my least favorite of all the Playstation. Also jrpgs disappeared like a mf, there were some but sht compared to previous gens.
