Sony Renames Heroes On The Move

Apparently the Heroes on the Move name for Sony's upcoming game featuring Ratchet, Jak, and Sly Cooper wasn't up to snuff. What could it all mean? What system could the game possibly be for?! The minds at Sony have cleared any fog surrounding the title by changing the name to PlayStation Move Heroes.

Ok, that sounds like Mii/mini's, not a game :(.

Active Reload4956d ago

So its not a Move game? If it is, it'd be cool if its in the first person perspective.

Active Reload4956d ago

Dude, I'm far from a PS3 fanboy, but I do appreciate its offerings.

gaffyh4955d ago

Good name change imo, makes much more sense because Heroes on the Move can be a little ambiguous, whereas PlayStation Move Heroes tells you that it definitely is PS Move only.

GWAVE4956d ago

The game concept sounds cool. The name does not.

Christopher4956d ago (Edited 4956d ago )

Much preferred the title of Heroes On The Move. This new name makes it seem too much like you're trying to shove the word PlayStation down your customer's throat. It's like Microsoft putting Xbox in the name of game titles.

I suggest those who don't like it should provide necessary feedback so they can change it back. It was kind of perfect before, IMHO.

Why bring up Sony's competitor in this?

JoeReno4956d ago

No its like adding kinect to everything....

Oh wait.

jp_footy24955d ago

I gave you bubbles joereno because you deserve them.

Christopher4955d ago

*** Why bring up Sony's competitor in this? ***

Why not? I'm not derogatory towards the action? I'm derogatory towards the idiocy of putting the name of the console in the title. This isn't some stand-alone app, like PlayStation Text Editor or PlayStation OS, it's a PlayStation game with its own title.

I think the fact that it's only available on the PS3 is enough to inform us of where it can be played.

Active Reload4955d ago

I don't know, I guess I just like coming to a PS3 article and only reading about...PS3.

Christopher4955d ago

That makes no sense. One of the main elements of presenting arguments is in comparison. The best comparison for the PlayStation is the Xbox 360. I'm not saying we should compare games here, but business decisions. Same way we compare XBL to PSN.

No FanS Land4955d ago

it's like adding N64 to every game.

Otheros004955d ago

Nintendo does it a lot.
Examples: Wii sports, super mario 64, star fox 64, etc.

dragunrising4955d ago

While I agree, Nintendo and partners have put "DS" into half the games released for that system. Its nothing new.

badz1494954d ago

while I also agree but that's Nintendo, this is Sony! even the flagship title of MOVE which is the Sports Champions has no MOVE in its name, so why should this heroes game? Playstation MOVE heroes? from 1 to 10, that name scores 2!

Heroes on the MOVE sounds so much better! don't get me wrong, I still love the offerings and will buy the game regardless but the new name just feels YUCK!

What is the point of this sentence in the article "What system could the game possibly be for?!" Trying to spout something that's not there are they?? Wouldn't be the first time GI have spread crap like that though.

StandardPost4955d ago

I dont get it. Both names are boring.

goosepoose4955d ago (Edited 4955d ago )

you guys do know you discussing the title of a "potential" shovelware game. its game that contains 50 mini games. oh wait its 50 mini move controller games.you throw balls around into hoops. cool. i dont think any of you are going to buy this game.

doesnt matter what they change it to. but since we so creative and know all the right moves, i prefer "the downfall of great heroes".

"Hey, let's take this game that has a pretty witty title and give it the worst possible title we can think of!" - Sony Executive.

TheLastGuardian4956d ago

Heroes on the Move sounded better but It's the gameplay that matters. I'll be getting this game.

plb4956d ago

Was perfect before. Now not so much.

MaxOpower4956d ago

First the make Sly not Cel-shaded, and now they change the name!

jukins4956d ago

hmm heroes on the move sounded better and incorporated ps move in the title now it sounds kinda like a desperate attempt to make sure ppl know you can use the move on it

Console Domination: Playstation Move Heroes Review

Console Domination writes: Combining three separate and very popular franchises into one game should work right? Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank and Sly Cooper are three of the best action adventure/platforming series that Sony has to offer. Good gameplay and good story make these the hits that they are and the prospect of a mash up should be cause for celebration. Unfortunately the end result is a a party game played with motion controls, rather than some kind of massive adventure. Something of a disappointment really. On its own merits it's a passable game. The minigames are fairly entertaining, if somewhat repetitive but as a party game it's sorely lacking in the party atmosphere.
