During the Atari 2600 days, we were huge fans of an Activision game called Chopper Command, a side scrolling shooter that challenged us to guide a helicopter across the screen and blow up enemy fighters while protecting a convoy. Fast-forward to 2010, and we have Apache Overkill, Playerthree’s Chopper Command style action fest that already launched on PSN in Europe and makes its U.S. debut October 5th.

Appera: Apache Overkill could be a pretty fun game on the iOS devices, but sadly the translation from web Flash game to iOS didn’t go as smoothly as we had expected.
