From The Big Pixels:
"This title is a misnomer. I don't want DLC to die, I just want it to change. Drastically.
Do you remember the good ol' expansion pack? Remember the good old days when a game would come out and six months or maybe a year later a hefty expansion pack would arrive on store shelves? It would be offered at a reasonable price and would provide not one or two hours of additional entertainment, but hours upon hours of fun?
What happened to providing value and an experience worth playing through with DLC? Why are we buying $5 pieces of crap that expand upon nothing and are hastily put together to make a quick buck?"
The Nerd Stash: “The PS3 marked a turning point in the industry, and among the sea of popular titles came the rare games that are worth more now than ever.”
I don’t collect games for their value I collect games I enjoyed playing. Many games I own are worth a lot of money but they must be games I want to play for me to purposely collect them. Most of this list isn’t games I would enjoy. I may have some of these games because I bought my friends PS2/3 Collection years ago and I never actually looked what was in it. It was a couple hundred games though still sitting in a box and I’m sure there are some good valuable games. I should go sift through it sometime.
Was unaware that Verdict Day was rare, glad I still own my copy. Game is very good.
She forgot to mention Ni no Kuni Wrath of the White Witch Wizard's Edition with Ninostarter bonuses. This is the second or third most expensive PS3 game, and I own a sealed copy.

“As a reimagining of a classic 2D platformer, Rocket Knight remains one of my favourite modern examples of the genre so let's see why.” - A.J. Maciejewski from Video Chums.
GL: "Staff writer Shaz reflects on his small library of physical games he's kept throughout the decades, and how a recent move made him nostalgic."
I lost my drive for collecting physical games due to many discs lacking the whole complete game. Instead, of collecting games I started collected figurines.
I am a collector have a room dedicated with a couple original arcade cabinets, physical game library, old and new consoles and controllers backlit with LED lighting. It’s very cool to have but with emulation being so strong and prevalent, I sometimes feel foolish because the hobby is expensive and like another said, the full game is not always on the disc. Could probably spend more wisely but I enjoy it.
GTA4 says hi
Yup, I've got to agree that Borderlands has had the best DLC of any recent game. I never played GTA's though (GTA4 got old for me fast), and Fallout 3's was good too. I just wish that everyone would stop paying 15 bucks for map packs.
ALL DLC NEEDS TO DIE.
I got dragon age...
1 week later DOA goty announced.
also says hi.
For real, the amount of content released for Mass Effect 2 has been fantastic. There has also been an excellent mix of free and paid-dlc. I didn't get very far in Dragon's Age but it seems it got a good amount of substantial DLC as well.
as been getting some pointless DLCs but the zombie based one is actually interesting
