Reaching Level 70 In Modern Warfare 2 is like...

Gil Is Munny's Editor finally reached Level 70 in Modern Warfare 2. Though he's quite behind on the times, here is his opinion about the experience.

killzone 2 takes for ever you level youre way up to unlock the last load out scout go beyond that and then th elast level is basically that whole trip multiplied by 5 with no new unlockables

which is basically like 100 points a round divided by the 100000 needed for max level

I play KZ all the time and I am still not at max level. I got it day one too, they updated the game and raised the level cap to an insane number. I used to be max till the cap was raised..

Well as i said before in another thread, i know people will get mad but....I have been online gaming since the 90's with the original quake on the PC and since then i have online gamed on the xbox and on the PS2 and the 360 and now the PS3. And i have to say the PS3 online community is the worst i have seen yet, by far. Alot of very unskilled players that do not play smart.

Actually it amazes how dumb some of them really are. OK i gotta quit or i will start raging it makes me so mad. So yes that's probably why it is taking you forever to level up in Killzone.

MGO had the best online ranking...it actually depended on how good you were at the game not how many hours you wasted on it.

There's no point of a leaderboard or levelling up on COD because it tells you nothing about the player except how sad they are.

There are many great aspects of MGO that all other online shooters should look at and learn from.

Scaling rank based on skill and animal rank based on tactic.

Survival days to make a team and compete for currency to buy items/clothing to decorate your character.

Tournament ladders every weekend to compete for rare items.

Menus for setting up different cammo (items/clothing) and perks for each individual map and game mode.

Even the way you spawn in being able to see exactly where you will spawn with a 5 second invulnerability until you raise or fire your weapon. Spawn camping is impossible in MGO!

I miss the days of games like that. Back when TrueSkill was actually used, you actually felt a sense of progression. I remember actually caring about making my skill go up in Halo 3 or Saints Row, and when I hit 50 it was so overwhelmingly amazing that I just kind of sat there and stared at the number next to my name. I miss that feeling.

the problem with MW2 was the most powerful guns are unlocked off the bat.
The Famas and UMP45 are the best guns in the game and they give it to you straight away...

The majority of people hate MW2, most only play it because there is no other game out apart from hlao reach only on xbox so ps3 players are stuck too.

That's obviously not true. A hell of a lot of people love MW2 which is why so many people play it. I think the online is shit which is why I play the many alternatives to it.

I think xbox owners have more choices than COD or Halo and ps3 owners have more options than COD.

the ak is a really good gun. but i think the easy mode guns (acr, scar etc.) are unlocked earlier on in the game. which is a pain! but ive pretty much quit the game and moved on to bc2.

It's definitely hyped and took over the genre. It turned FPS into more of a time-killer than anything else. Titles like Half Life need to come back and revive the FPS brand.

No I loved call of duty well cod4 even cod waw because it took actual skill to be able to get your killstreaks and sometimes it was bloody hard just to get 7 kills for a chopper,

NOW all u have to do is camp in a corner with a noob tube with hard line on, get a care package with 3 kills which then drops a helicopter, which then makes the player about 10 kills ahead from everyone else? just because he sat in a room in the same place camping? WTF?

the game is supposed to be about running and gunning tactically and smartly. why do you think all the treyarch videos show the testers running and gunning (yes even snipers) because thats how the game was supposed to be played.
Not have dickheads running around with a tactical knife with there MAIN objection of just stabbing people its a fucking first person SHOOTER for fuck sake.

these are just a few of the reasons I and many people like me HATE and DESPISE the game. it has just taken the main element of the other games of the series straight out.

i went to nineth prestige legit on my ps3, but hacked my xbox version to the same level. could not be arsed doing it all over again and after a while you just get used to having the extra slots

3. Get hit by airstrike and/or helicopter
4. Repeat

N0obs and casuals love MW2 for it's arcade feel.

gamers who prefer strategy, tactics, and a bit of realism in a well balanced game prefer BFBC2 or Killzone 2.

HARDCORE PC gamers prefer Arma II.
