demonddel4956d ago

that's wzup u got that right but I'm getting both

nickjkl4956d ago

is it because you dont have a ps3

TrevorPhillips4956d ago

Are you rubbing it in his face, not cool dude, not cool, have some respect. If he wants to buy NFS:HP instead of GT5 thats his choice.

And no im not being sarcastic.

nickjkl4956d ago

im just saying is it because he doesnt have a ps3 how is that rubbing it in his face

or are you implying that gran turismo 5 is so great that its considered rubbing it in his face

happyface4956d ago

Criterion make the most fun driving games, easy choice

Leafhopper4956d ago

Months ago.

Nothing wrong with GT5, I personally think its amazing I just suck at sim racers.

I am an arcade type of guy.

MaximusPrime4956d ago

I'm getting this and gran Turismo 5.

Why?

Need for speed hot pursuit is an arcade racer and fun. Created by Criteriongames, who created an awesome Burnout Paradise. They did great job creating both Burnout Paradise and Need for Speed Hit Pursuit on PS3 (as well as porting them over to xbox360)

Gran Turismo 5 is a racing simulator and aimed at serious hardcore racing freak like me. GT5 is totally different to arcade games. GT5 interests me more because of what it contains and involves.

You can definately tell the Burnout team are behind this game lol

TrevorPhillips4956d ago

Yea, Criterion. They're simply the best :)

DelbertGrady4956d ago

Which is why I'm getting it :)

spunnups4956d ago

Criterion, Polyphony Digital, and Evolution Studios know how to make fun, quality racing games. Anything these guys put out is a Day 1 from me.

RowSand4956d ago

Cant you race normal races with other racers_

TrevorPhillips4956d ago (Edited 4956d ago )

obviously you can but apparently there is no story to this new need for speed: hot pursuit bro.

Stoney - You forgot Need for Speed 3: Hot Pursuit, or did you mention that already hehe :)

STONEY44956d ago

I think he meant if you can just race normally without cops.

But the fact that there isn't a story is great, since after Need for Speed starting trying to do a story (after Underground 2 I think?), well... they came up with some of the worst stories ever in a game, coupled with live-action first-person cutscenes of some whorish girl bossing you around at your car window.

Seriously, racers don't need stories.

ZombieNinjaPanda4956d ago

@Agent X

No story? What??

And what is this EMP stuff going on? Are we not going back to Most Wanted?

STONEY44956d ago

It's going back to Hot Pursuit 1 and 2, mostly looking like 2. Imo, Hot Pursuit 2 on PS2 was the best Need for Speed game made.

demonddel4956d ago

thats ur opinion but i think most wanted was the best

etownone4956d ago

I agree with demon....

Most Wanted was the best.

But I think this one seems like it's gonna take the crown.
Going back to it's old roots (most wanted) and made by the burnout team.

We shall see.

Looking Back to Two of Need for Speed's Best Games - Most Wanted and Hot Pursuit

Paul writes - "EA know a good thing when they see it, and for multiple years November was Need for Speed month. In a break from the usual routine, I'm going to be looking back at two games here, released in 2005 and 2010 respectively. The earlier game is Need for Speed: Most Wanted, which has the distinction of being one of the very best in the franchise. The second game comes from 2010, and is Need for Speed Hot Pursuit; which I'll talk about just as the Remastered version of the game has hit the stores."

Hotpursuit 2 was good as well.

The-Matrix-has-you155d ago (Edited 155d ago )

I completely adore this game! In fact its probably my favorite racing game. I recently dusted off my xbox 360 to play Most Wanted 2005. Still a great game, though I do not remember there being such horrible performance. Like massive frame-pacing issues. screen tearing, latency. If any game ever truly needed to be remastered, it this one for sure!

Uuuu, I loved this one. I want it.

LucasRuinedChildhood1308d ago

No NFS released since Hot Pursuit (2010) has came close. The Ghost Games NFS games were just dreadful (to me they were anyway, 2015 was okay I suppose). Would love to replay this and I hope it has an update for next-gen as well.

DarkZane1308d ago (Edited 1308d ago )

I loved Most Wanted as well (on PS3, I think it released in 2012). After that, it has gone downhill, but the latest games are slowly coming back up. I loved NFS Heat, but it needs to get better before it comes back to same level as NFS Hot Pursuit and Most Wanted.

Then again, NFS Hot Pursuit and Most Wanted were likely better because they were from Criterion (in fact, those were the last 2 games from criterion in nfs series).

LucasRuinedChildhood1308d ago

@DarkZane
complete agree. Most Wanted was good fun as well.

boing11308d ago

Yeah, Criterion has made two best NFS games in my opinion.

georeo1308d ago

Oh yes! They cops vs the drivers online was a blast.

LucasRuinedChildhood1308d ago

Better be 60FPS unlike the original console ports.

Sgt_Slaughter1308d ago

I would be excited but NFS is basically dead in the water at this point, a shell of its former self.
