IGN writes: "I love an inappropriate, flirtatious RPG starring underage girls with huge racks as much as the next guy. Generally, though, I want them to have a solid game to entertain me between the weirdness. NISA's newest RPG, Atelier Rorona: The Alchemist of Arland has all the bouncy physics, red zone comments, and "shy" girls that wear bras for shirts, but is missing that part where the game is compelling and fun."
Lyam writes: - Atelier Arland Trilogy DX is another collection release, but this time, on PlayStation 4. The games with it are Atelier Rorona: The Alchemist of Arland, Atelier Totori: The Adventurer of Arland, and Atelier Meruru: The Apprentice of Arland, which have all appeared on PlayStation 3, as well as the PlayStation Vita. It’s quite an ongoing franchise with Atelier Rorona is the 11th game in the series and there are more plenty more to come.
I haven't played the Atelier series for quite a while now. Last game I finished was Iris 3, although I didn't really liked it. I love the first one, Eternal Mana. I think I finished Atelier Iris 1 at least three times. I bought Atelier Sophie and played less than 10 hours before I dropped it. Would love to see another game with the Iris level of story telling.
Things get exciting on this episode of This Week in Gaming! From John Carmack joining the team working on the Oculus Rift, to new gameplay footage of The Legend Of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. Also, tons of weird Japanese games. I hope you brought napkins because things are about to get saucy!
Cripes, I keep seeing this guy posting his videos.
And they're awful. Please stop.
I don't mind that you're a prepubescent. I do mind the constant mumbling and inability to properly pronounce every other word.
There won’t be an Atelier Rorona Plus, but that doesn’t mean gamers won’t be seeing more of Rorona in the future.
Well that's a shame. Gotta grab Totori Plus soon, though, to get the bonus stuff.
Wait, I don't even really care about that stuff. Still want it, though.
one of the worst written reviews I've ever seen, read it and still I only a small idea how the game plays and features. I mean 1 page review from what seems to be a 12 year old idiot.
Oh I have no idea if the game deserves that score or not but this review does not help.
NISA is a small japanese group they dont have the same ressources as the bigger guys but they should really start making games with better engines because this really looks like a PS2 game in terms of graphics. In terms of story I understand why the reviwer did not like the game. Some of these JRPGS are filled with Moe, kiddy cute stuff that the japanese find attractive and fun while Most of us find it weird. I'm a big JRPG fan and games like Atelier arent really my CUP of TEA when it comes to selecting games. Atlus on the other hand is a really small group aswell and never pushed any limits in terms of tech but their games always offers a good story , Animation and gameplay like in the persona Titles(currently playing Devil survivor on NDS).
Folklore(PS3) and blue dragon(xbox) which were some of the very 1st next gen rpgs back in 06 still look better than this.

IGN continues to be irrelevant. What a pathetic review.
Guys just remember its only one persons opinion.
Liam O' Brien as motherfucking Sterk, and the VA is bad? Not to mention, Rorona's VA is of the few female loli VAs that sound good in english.
Music is even worse, even when the music is actually good and fits every part of the game?
With the battle system I agree- except I feel like the reviewer missed out the part where you ACTUALLY collect items and recipes for synthesis... And he bitches that there's "no skill required" in making items, I mean, the fuck? Seems like he missed the part where every item gets quality and stats thanks to the materials you use- wich means you sometimes have to collect certain materials for better quality items.
If this is an opinion, this is the worse opinion piece I've ever read.
Even so, it's like the reviewer didn't even felt like completing the game, NO- ehm, like he didn't felt playing the game for a few hours.
...Seriously. I like this game mainly 'cause it's you know, FUN.
