"We went, we saw, we played. We came back, we slept off and on writing impressions, and now…we present the Best of the Tokyo Game Show 2010, broken down by system and with one overall standout." -RPG Land
Fable II launched back in 2008 and remains the best the series has offered. Ahead of the series comeback, it's time to look at the classic.
Loved this game, oh and i always saved my dog at the end, hope the new Fable has a animal companion.
Fable 2 was the best inthe series. Peter waaaaaaay over promised with fable 1 and it was good but disappointing. He didn't go crazy eith hype for the second game and it was surprisingly awesome. Then he ran his mouth promoting 3 and it was the worst of the 3.
I only got to play it once 😩 I'm so tempted to buy a Xbox 360 slim but planning on getting the series x soon since I got a PS5 in February Im ready to get saints row 1&2 back, GTA 4, fable 2, but I also want to play infamous 1&2 again Sony screwed us over with the stream only for saints row 2 and other gems smh
When it comes to the best PlayStation 1 RPGs, we’ve all heard Final Fantasy this, Chrono Chross that. Two problems that emerge when a steady stream of blockbusters are released on a system is is that some of the very good RPGs are crowded out and some games are less great in the eyes of players who experienced the best games on the system.
From Xfire: "There seems to be some sort of JRPG renaissance going on these past few years.
In addition to new entries of long-running franchises being released on multiple platforms and new IPs being introduced, some classic JRPG games are getting the love that they rightfully deserve in the form of a remake.
Case in point, Legend of Mana, and of course, who can forget the Final Fantasy 7 Remake?
But while there's a growing number of classic JRPG titles that are being remade for modern audiences, there are still far more that aren't getting enough attention and are in desperate need of a modern remake in 2021 and beyond."
Wild Arms, Xenogears, Xenosaga trilogy, Arc the Lad, Alundra, Golden Axe Warrior, FF Crisis Core, Ar Tonelico, Rouge Galaxy.
First I would like to have the originals easily available again. Than the remakes, that way it's assured that the classic version is still "gettable" in case de remake sucks or take unwanted liberties.
I'm actually quite looking forward too Trinity: Souls of Zill O'll.
"BEST WII RPG: Not applicable."
lol
SO looking forward to the English-language announcements of some of these. Ni no kuni and Valkyria 3 (comes back to PS3...) tops among them for me. Would also like to see the new PSP Monster Hunter game.
I'm looking forward to the PS3 version of Ni no Kuni. What's really sad, in my opinion, is the number of JRPGs coming to the main consoles; that is to say the lack of. I remember a time back with the original PlayStation, there was always multiple titles in development, beyond a scant few. On PS2 as well, I remember. I game this gen mostly on my PS3 and I only have 2-3 traditional JRPGs in my library of games and would gladly buy more, if only there were more available. I really wish Nam-Dai would say SOMETHING about Tales of Vesperia for the west. I've actually gone back to playing PS1, PS2 and Saturn games I've been hurting for traditional JRPGs that much. Just a personal experience here...
