Game Ninja reviews Aragorn's Quest

For a title that offers an experience aimed a younger audience, Aragorn's Quest has some charm to it. This is an excellent game for a more experienced gamer to play along with a newcomer.

The game is framed through the stories of Samwise Gamgee, and this framework offers some of the most interesting points of the game. For example, the opening sequence has Aragorn fighting at the Black Gate, fending off the hordes of Sauron's army. In a few moments, a balrog appears, and Game Ninja immediately got out his red pen to mark derisively that the game wrecked the source material in the first few minutes of gameplay...

I am not a big fan of the Lord of the Rings trilogy but it is a classic source of inspiration for fantasy stories. Aragorn’s Quest is based on Tolkien’s work and lets you guide the aforementioned hero as he battles the minions of Sauron. Your purpose is to reach the Black Gate of Mordor so that Frodo throws the magical ring of the evil wizard into the lava of Mount Doom and destroys it once and for all.
