FiftyFourPointTwo4967d ago (Edited 4967d ago )

Its 4 1/2 years. It was released in March 2006 in NA. December 2005 in JP.

People keep buying things like 358/2 Days, Coded, RE: Coded, Chain of Memories, and RE: Chain of Memories, so why would he make KH3 right now? He's raking in money from helpless slaves of the series, so that's what's gonna happen. They won't make KH3 until they're about out of milk with the spinoffs.

NecrumSlavery4967d ago

I jusdt got Birth By Sleep. Is is really outstanding. It's just as good as the console versions. But KH3 needs to get on its way, and use the tech of versusXIII.

knifefight4967d ago

[Yeah that's why Birth by Sleep wasn't on my list there. It's the rare exception ;) ]

rezzah4967d ago

Yea the reason why it shouldnt be part of that list is because its part of the story not some spin off.

Jaces4967d ago

It's worth the wait, take your time nomura-san make it the best KH game yet!

DigitalAnalog4967d ago (Edited 4967d ago )

If it wasn't for MS's hijacking, he would've released FFXIII instead of bloody Kitase.

Do want! Please bring it to PS3. I don't care if it comes out on multiple consoles. I just want it made from the ground up for the PS3!!!

Brklynty14967d ago

I do. Notice he said "Console" singular!

That's odd. It still works for me. Here's the link again, just in case:

With its prequels and side stories, the Kingdom Hearts franchise has kept followers of the series engaged for years. Fans have anticipated the next big title in the franchise for some time: Kingdom Hearts III (KH III). In a recent interview, Tetsuya Nomura discusses life, his full schedule of projects, and notably what his plans are for KH III.

Nomura-san commented on the current challenges he faces developing KH III:

“For any sequel of the mainstream storyline of the Kingdom Hearts series, that would be Kingdom Hearts III”

He added:

“But the problem is that the opportunity of developing the sequel is not currently [possible]. The team is busy, I am busy.”

Even with his busy schedule, KH III is still something he wants to do and is preparing for. Nomura-san had this to say about his thoughts on the next chapter in the storyline:

I’m thinking about what’s going to be next after Kingdom Hearts II, the future that is Kingdom Hearts III. Time has nearly come to [work on] that concept.

With the game’s concept phase being in sight, it leads to the question: When can we expect it? When asked if we would see it on the current generation of consoles, he gave this revelation:

Yes it might be possible. It is my desire to develop the next Kingdom Hearts on the existing platform, but the problem with a new console is that it has new technical requirements… So, yes, I’m willing to create something on the existing console because when we aim for another non-existing future console, the release of the title will be far in the future. That’s my concern.

Nomura-san is a busy man, even stating he had to “sacrifice my private time, my marriage, my family time” to stay on top of all his current projects. At least KH III is one of those projects. No matter how long it takes, it will be worth the wait.

But I understand that he is busy....1 of the reasons I bought a PS3 was for KHIII, but i dont think it will come out for PS3 :(

tunaks14967d ago

probably be on Wii2, ps4, or what ever the 360's successor is called

Taken from the link. Doesn't completely debunk your statement, but it shows that he wants it out on one of the current gen's systems (I'm assuming that that is PS3, but who knows, could be for the 360 as well. Square seems to want to get stuff multi platform lately) So the probability of us seeing it next gen console is low.

tunaks14966d ago

Delays are inevitable.

I don't think Kingdom Hearts is coming out this generation...but I also think that KHIII will come out on the the 360, or Wii since SE has been acting lately.

My most anticipated game this gen after gow3.

Final Fantasy XVI Has Finally Given Donald Duck A Worthy Opponent

For a long time, it's been widely accepted amongst Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts fans that Donald Duck is the most powerful mage ever to exist, mainly due to his use of the stupidly powerful Zettaflare spell towards the end of Kingdom Hearts 3. This spell is one step up from Teraflare, a spell which was used in Final Fantasy XIV that was so powerful that it completely wiped out the base game, giving the developers a canonical reason to let them bin everything and start again from scratch.

Now you're armed with this information, you can see how it was pretty surprising for Donald Duck of all characters to bust out Zettaflare and establish himself as the most powerful character in Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts lore. However, now that Final Fantasy XVI has arrived and delivered a whole new cast of characters, a new challenger has arrived to provide Donald with some much needed competition.

Final Fantasy's Strongest Canonical Magic User Is... Donald Duck?

Final Fantasy features many strong characters, but an unlikely character from Kingdom Hearts is able to cast the most powerful spell ever seen

Final Fantasy's strongest magic user is Donald Duck, who never appears in a final fantasy game.

This Kingdom Hearts Boss' Unpredictability Gave Me Sekiro Vibes

Kingdom Hearts is filled with otherworldly boss battles, but only one stands out like a phoenix dancing with ethereal grace across the night sky. Before we embark upon a discussion concerning Kingdom Hearts' exceptional boss battles, it may be prudent to first reflect on the evolution of the criteria for appraising video game bosses. This criterion has undergone a major metamorphosis over the past decade; one that owes much to the profound influence of From Software and its iconic Souls series.

"Yozora is much more than a grueling secret encounter; he is a reflection of what Kingdom Hearts' bosses should be"

No thank you. If every boss in Kingdom Hearts was like Yozora, the series would be unplayable. That's not to say that they shouldn't include such challenges, but making them fundamental to the game would be too much. And don't say that this is what the From Software games are, because Yozora is absolutely harder than most of the bosses in those games. He is waaay faster, has a ludicrous number of abilities (and does them in random order AND can chain most of them together), and punishes you severely if you make a mistake. On top of that, you have to survive this onslaught for a really long time because of how much health he has. It's borderline too much - for me at least. Still, it's a stunning battle.

OMNlPOTENT370d ago

I agree, while I do really enjoy the Yozora fight, I think it's far too difficult to be anything more than an optional boss. However, I do believe that there should be more bosses that are in the same weight and size class as Sora, as the majority of those in KH3 were the best fights. The giant heartless bosses just aren't as enjoyable.
