44 Playable Characters in Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2

CyberConnect2 president Hiroshi Matsuyama confirms 44 playable characters in the newest Naruto Shippuden game for the PS3 and 360.

dont compare the two title, storm is awesome, but 4 player action on the older gamecube titles was way more fun.

I hated the show but the Naruto games are all pretty good, they play like DBZ.

naruto's anime is horrible, the manga is ok, but show is awful. 200 episode filler after naruto fought sasuke in the first series and tons of filler in the begining of shippuden.

to me its a bad show like bleach and one pice.......know whats in common?? they are shonen jump! almost no shonen jump live up to the manga's they came from. pretty said actually

even when skipping the fillers some scene are dissapointing with their design and overall animation . It's fairly obvious Pierrot doesnt use a huge budget for naruto outside of a few key fights .

Sure dbz did it too , between fillers and a few fights where they would be cunning and mostly showing you fight going so fast you see nothing but scribbles and teleports (while the manga would detail precisely those fights) , but not nearly as much .

One piece animated is rather awesome actually bare the fillers . It doesnt screw up with its budget , and the animation and design is perfect . They dont save money on both story arcs and fillers like with naruto .

It's fillers are easy to spot and avoid anyway , with some actually being fun and believable adventures for the team . Besides some uses design and ideas from the author himself or the videogames .

i dont wanna hear "skip the fillers" when ur up to an episode and ur keeping up in japan, the episodes come out once a week......skip 200 weeks. o yeah thats easy, because right when ichigo is about to aquire some new move or some crap the show says "TOO BAD" and makes u watch some garbage. and while some filler episodes may be entertaining it dooesnt mean they are good.

and yes they did a gr8 job on the one piece anime, although thats only if u liked it in the first place and i dont like one piece, but thats just my opinion.

im more into berserk, blade of the immortal, fate stay night, garden of sinners, gankoutsou the count of monty cristo, etc etc. anime that makes sense even if they were cut down from their manga counter parts. i will admit i did like dbz since it was the show that got me into doing art and watching anime but all in all, these dbz clones are tedious.

stil this topic is about the game. and game looks good. just not deep. glad to see there is everyones favorite characters

you're completely right, one of the greatest battle on the manga was completely ruined on the anime.
Probably the game will be better in design than the anime...

PS: naruto filler where "only" 100 eps after sasuke battle...

and yet they all play the same. :/ no real depth to this game, its fun though. sorta like tenkaichi games. characters are mostly the same the only thing that changes their tier list is how cheap their special attacks are.....like naruto's rasengan in the first one....no start of time and hits to hard aswell as homes onto people.....hope this game has more depth

Always found this games depth to be in the timing and dodging. Jutsus where overpowered in the first namely Rasengan, chidori and Fireball. But the first two are def fixed in the second and I have yet to see if fireball is fixed

Just to name a few: Garra, Neji, Orochimaru, Pain, Naruto, Karin, and Jiraya all play different

they indeed play different . besides anime fighting games' job isnt to provide a "real fighting game" depth . The only way would be to nerf everyone so they play like a , bloody rorar , street fighter , guilty gear or tekken on steroid , but to a point they are so neutered it wouldnt be good for fans

The previous cyberconnect serie , from wich ninjastorm took everything but the representation , Narutimate heroes , was mostly a power stone clone with its flavor , and the mandatory imbalance .

you played pain? all the characters play the same!!! This isn't some SF,TK or VF where theres different styles like charge, motion,or combos

guys, i didnt man it as a bad thing, and like baka said the game is made to cater to fans.

characters play the same as in u just mash square or B and dodge. there isnt a block string, strong characters, rush down characters etc. thats why they arent real fighting games.

are they fun? sure, tho i wud love to see a blazblue or MVC3 type of naruto game, that wud be epic

All i'm saying is that the characters have a different feel to them. Can you explain to me how characters like Konkuro and Itachi play the same? cause i'm confused.
And no I haven't played as pain, but I do know that he won't play like Jiraya, gaara, or Sasori.

i said theres charge,motion, or combo based style. All you do is press the same button in the same way. Biggest fault is you can't have more than one true move happening at once.

like in the wii games you can have narutos clone come out and fight while you set up the super. have kankuros puppet get behind a player and double team. have shinos bugs track then send more to opponents feet or head. because all the moves come from combos you can't jump around easy

you haven't played a lot of storm 1, right?
everyone is different, someone is slow (jiraya,...), the attack can be charged (rasengan), short range (hinata), powerful (might guy)...
also someone transform and play different (naruto) or slow time(itachi)....

It's not they're completely different but there's more than you think...
