Bad Company 2 Vietnam: Brand New Huey Shots Emerged

Some brand new Huey screenshots of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam released.

orange-skittle4987d ago

This game cannot go wrong. Its battlefield for petes sake. Anything they put to Bad Company 2 is going to be good. MoH doesnt have a chance.

SoulMisaki4987d ago

Er, you do know DICE has said themselves that MoH is a much more realistic, grounded, and fun experience? And they made BC2.

I have both, (MOH is preordered), and I play both. But MOH is going against CoD in the way BC2 never did.

Shackdaddy8364987d ago (Edited 4987d ago )

Its a $15-$20 expansion which was built by the same makers of the MoH mp... How is it in any competition with MoH?

Your comment was just fine before you said that little tid-bit but now you look like a troll.

Buyin MoH, BFBC2:V, and CoD. They all look fairly fun.

r1sh124987d ago

The thing that I do not understand is why fans of bad company would even buy medal of honor?
Just buy this when it comes out.

@below
DICE have not made any comments about MOH being more realistic, and if they have im sure the mean compared to MW2 etc...

Sevir044987d ago

MOH is made by both Dice and EA VC so its gonna be good. This game looks sick though!!!

Solo2274987d ago

This is the next product their trying to sell... Grounded, whats more realistic than being arguably the most realistic shooter ever made??? LOL

They made MOH simply to TRY dig into CODs marketshare...

SoulMisaki4987d ago

They made it because EA asked them too, and it's more realistic because it takes everything from BC2, and places it in a realism-based fps set in Afghanistan.

I don't think they can get more realistic than using weapons from that time, both teams having their own weapon sets, true, real life locations, and the amazing realism from BC2 all in one game.

NateDPG4987d ago

I don't think they said that, as far I remember they said MoH is BC 2 light

SoulMisaki4987d ago

http://www.youtube.com/watc...

That's where they say it. Just watch the interview.

BARF4987d ago

moh is not realistic, neither is bfbc2. moh is a cod clone at its finest.

dkgshiz4987d ago

After watching a few new videos of MOH. I think I'm going to buy it. The beta was extremely disappointing to me. It looks though that they made huge improvements to the MP though since then. The SP looks really solid.

SpaceFox4987d ago

Dont fall for their tricky marketing. Of course the videos of MOH look good, they stage the gameplay videos and touch up the trailers to make it look better than it actually is. They did the same with BC2 which honestly, didnt live up to the hype.

You've played the game, you didnt like it, what's there to find out? If you really want to see if this game is right for you, play the open beta coming out soon that's apparently representative of the full game (so why even call it a beta when nothing is being tested and the game is a few weeks from release?).

And if SP is what you're interested in you might want to wait for reviews. I remember when I saw the BC2 SP trailer, I almost shit my pants at how awesome it looked. And after actually playing BC2's SP, wow I was disappointed.

Just my 2 cents mate. Looks can be deceiving.

StarScream4Ever4987d ago

Awesomeness! Can I please haz F4 Phantoms? :D

SpaceFox4987d ago

Hehe, I wish. BC2 wont be getting jets in any way shape or form. Engine limits the size of the maps too much and none of the Vietnam maps will be large enough for jets, I can guarantee you.

Hell DICE won't even increase the flag count past 3, they say it's because with 24 players the action will be too sparse. Bullshit, since 1943's maps each had 2 deployments + 5 flags, with 24 players, planes and constant action.

M0t0rBreath4987d ago

The is the design behind BC2. Small maps, I would say more infantry focused. It's not that the engine can't do it. You just mentioned 1943 which had 5 flags, deployments, planes, vehicles. It's the same engine used in BC2.

BF3 will have a different design as well. Most likely similar to BF2, after all, it's a sequel.

hmmmm4987d ago

and there is one map that has 4 flags in BC2, i don't remember the name as i don't play conquest very often but it looks like an old ship yard.

Also, every conquest map in BC1 had 5 flags and that game was also limited to 24 players.

SpaceFox4986d ago

You should know better Motorbreath. ;)

BC2 runs the same engine as 1943, but it has better graphics and significantly more destruction. 1943 didnt have large 2 story buildings, buildings didnt collapse, and it didnt have microdestruction.

BC2 CANT have maps big enough for jets, they've said so themselves.

Every game's design revolves around the engine and its limitations. BF3 will have a different design because they're revamping the engine and optimizing it for larger maps, more players, faster workflow and everything else that gives BF3 the potential to be awesome.

M0t0rBreath4986d ago (Edited 4986d ago )

Well 1.5 can't. Since it's not really optimized that well. FB2 is going to be all that 1.5 isn't.

For BF3, I wouldn't mind having limited destruction to allow for high player count, big maps, lots of vehicles, etc.

Looking back to 2010 and the Groovy Battlefields of Bad Company 2's Vietnam Expansion

Paul writes: "Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Vietnam can be called a success. I enjoyed playing it, and appreciated the change to a simpler time when guns were inaccurate and you seemed to have more of a chance if you were surprised."

I’ve given up hope waiting on a new Bad Company game.

Kornholic1780d ago (Edited 1780d ago )

Yeah and even if they did make a new Bad Company, I'm not so sure they could make a good Bad Company. The last good BF game came out in 2013. After that it has got progressively worse. BF1 and BFV are just bad, I can't stand the gameplay.

CBaoth1780d ago (Edited 1780d ago )

The rumors of Bad Company 3 launching alongside PS5 n Nxtbox in 2020 need to be true. EA could use some good PR. A highly requested game minus loot boxes minus interviews from dumbass Dice employees might do the trick. Well at least 2 outta 3 aint bad. Probably a better chance seeing pigs fly than an EA game w/o loot boxes

TargusX1780d ago

I wish they'd added a full-featured offline bots mode to BC2 & DLC - I'd still be playing it!

DaniMacYo1780d ago (Edited 1780d ago )

I’ve always wanted Battlefield to have bots like cod black ops giving the player a lot of creative options.

CorndogBurglar1780d ago

The funny thing is Battlefield games did used to have an offline bots mode. In Battlefield 2 you could play single player and it was just like playing a normal MP match except the enemies were AI.

Inzo1780d ago

They are too busy slapping out fires and there Battle Royal is DOA.

Father__Merrin1780d ago

Great game series just bought bf1/titanfall 2 double pack on origin the player count is awful I know there a couple of years old but it's not worth it. This is one reason your better sticking to consoles

CorndogBurglar1780d ago (Edited 1780d ago )

Titanfa 2's player count has been pretty bad for a long time, even on consoles. That game deserved so much more because it's great. But EA screwed them over by having it release between Battlefield and COD's releases that year. They also had next to no advertising for it. Not to mention it was the first time TF was going to be on anything other than Xbox, so it could have really used a better release with some actual advertising.

As for BF1? It's just not a very good game. If it was then player could would not he a problem at all on PC. When Battlefield was still good the player count was never a problem whatsoever on PC. Even years later. Hell, people still play Battlefield 2 on PC...

The real problem with Battlefield isn't the platform it's being played on. It's that the franchise has been dumbed down so much. BF1 was the beginning of that. It was the first truly disappointing BF game. If it had been good there would still be countless people paying for servers and running their BF games for years to come just like all the previous BF releases.

Father__Merrin1780d ago

Well titanfall 2 Multiplayer all I can ever find is attrition but only after waiting a long time its massively underrated. But I'm slowly playing single player instead it's a top tier AAA game imo

CorndogBurglar1780d ago

For sure! Titanfall 2 is fantastic game with a really great single player campaign, even if it is a bit short. It hit me in the feels, for sure.

But again, TF2 was the first time TF was multiplatform, so a lot of people had no experience with it outside of Xbox One users. And on top of that they released it in between the releases of Battlefield 1 and CoD with no advertising, which is just suicide for a FPS franchise that is trying to make name for itself.

It's a shame because TF2 was better than both BF1 and COD that year.

Production Values of DLC – Making More From Less

COG writes: Baba Yaga for Rise of the Tomb Raider makes for a jumping off point to discuss how Triple-A games create their DLC. Lucas Raycevick uses examples to illustrate that DLC needs something to stand out, or else its lower production value will only result in an imitation of the game it’s based on.

Ain't it the truth. All too often DLC is totally phoned in

Digital_Anomaly3020d ago

Preach!! Although in the specific case of Baba Yaga... it was pretty great!
