The PS3 was the lead platform on this game. PS3 gamers should be happy that this went multiplat, otherwise it would be a dark mark on the exclusives list.

I played the demo for 3 minutes, thought to myself "Wow! This must be what people were playing when they were bashing Gears of War and somehow got the 2 confused!" Then I proceeded to delete the demo.

thats why they gave it an extra 6 points just to not seem to harsh. The real score was -1. I think I played it for like two minutes before I wanted to scream. The game has nothing interesting. The controls are lame, the visuals are sad, its just a waste of peoples space and time.

You have a stronger stomach than me. I just couldn't do it. It's probably not that bad but for some reason it was just so bad for me for those 2 minutes I played it. I did not want to give it another minute more. Maybe its better if I tried it longer but just not worth it knowing there is really nothing to look forward to.

It's what usually happens when you turn a ps3 exclusive into a multiplat though. PS3 usually increases a games performance it seems however like we seen with FF13 360 cant handle ps3 power and thus kills games. This isn't a slate on 360 though as if it was made multi platform from the start the game probably would have probably been an 8/10 and a lot better game.

Japanese should stick to making Japanese games, in most cases when they ignore this advice, they meet with complete failure. As a westerner, I like Japanese games and I like Western games. I don't need the Japanese to appeal to my "western" tastes. But I guess I'm in a minority when it comes to Japanese games, so they want to broaden their market, to be like Metal Gear and Resident Evil. Clearly it isn't working.

Gears of War copycat.. But is that such a bad thing? Hmmmmm.. I played the demo on my PS3.. it isn't actually all that bad.

The only problem I have with it is the glitchy movement.. The animation is so totally not smooth when moving from cover to cover.

I liked it though, the end boss is freakin' hard so I just gave up. lol

I kinda think of this game as a Gears of War title for a PS3-only owner. :)

It was playable. I'm a big Gears fan who has never owned an XBox personally - I've played both Gears games so far - and I had high hopes for it. Now I'll pick it up used or if it falls below $25.

I've never been interested in this game, but its seems a very low score when the main gripe with the game is Its alot like Gears of War.

If Gears of War is good, and some of us seem to think it is, isnt that a good thing?

Isnt CoD alot like MoH? Isnt Forza alot like GT? Just seems a harsh score for being derivitive. He even says you cant turn sharp while running. Isnt nearly every shooter, (including Gears) like that?

Anyway, not defending the game, it looks boring and uninspiring to me, just pointing that out.

is a COD lover based on what he said. COD the only game you can turn sharp while running!! i played the demo and I found it to be ok. I wanna see more of the multy hitting melee this game has though.

the boss battle was pretty good too.

EDIT: Not to bring hate but the 360 version plays just like gears. The ps3 version is to loose.

It will be like 20 dollars since the sales will be weak on both consoles. We have way too many good games to look forward to. I dont always expect to be blown away by every game but as long as its fun I'll play it. This is a no no. To all of you considering buying I suggest trying the demo. You might really regret it.

As for design ? to each their own , but what i've seen was mostly badly applied texture passing as armor and gears on a few generic bulky man .

Gears of War doesnt appeal to me because of its artsyle and a few other things , but at least they actually used some design and detailed face . Not generic texture job on spiky hair bulky dude .

It really doesn't matter that the game came from Japan. American studios produce crap all the time and they don't sell in America either. Also you can have the best art style and detail in the world but if the game plays like ass then it doesn't do much. Though how you think this game had more detail compared to Gear of War is questionable.

I Remember Alan Wake but not Metro 2033. Are you sure they wern't talking bout Metro 2033 on PC? Because that does look better than Killzone 2. Alan Wake doesn't even come close to Killzone 2 but Alan Wake to me is a better game. I woud rather play everything on my PC but for those games I don't have a choice. Accept Metro 2033 which I do have on PC and it shines on my rig.

I was actually looking forward to this game since Tecmo is known for well controls, looks, and gameplay like Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden. To think that there first 3rd/1st person shooter would be this bad left me very disappointed (maybe they should bring back Itagaki).
