PSP Minis writes: "Everyone is chomping at the bit to get some multiplayer action from PSP minis. ICON Games is bringing out the first titles with confirmed multiplayer of any kind. Of course it's 'Hot Seat' Multiplayer and will see you passing the PSP back and forth as you play darts and even bowling. We managed to track down Head of development at ICON Games Richard Hill-Whittall."
Sony claims there will be 50 minis by the end of the year.

Not all of the games on the list have release dates, but it's reasonable to expect a large majority, if not all, will land this year.
This could be a very good initiative for Sony, though I can see lots of poor quality titles being released.
As long as there are some good gems released on a regular basis, this could be worthwhile for all PSP owners: game size is small and likewise the price. Cant go wrong with that!
You are right, there are some duds on the list, but there are plenty of quality titles as well. I think the good will definitely out way the bad for PSP minis. Unlike Apples App Store where you have to dig through hundreds of bad games to find one good one.
Sony have opened their doors so a lot of smaller developers can get in, but they haven't opened the doors so wide that they will face Apple's high noise to low signal ratio problem.

So far 11 PSP Mini titles have October 1st release dates. If there is 15 launch titles then only 4 are missing off this list.

Not to long ago apple made a comment about PSP and DS not having as many games as them and they were way more expensive then Iphone games. Well call me crazy, but aren't many of these Iphone games. So what happens if all the other games come to the PSP as well. The who has the most games.
In the end hopefully that doesn't happen and Sony regulates what games are worth porting from the Iphone to the PSP so we don't end up with a bunch of garbage.
Hero of Sparta and Fieldrunners are good mini games. Hero of Sparta is a God of War-type of game. Fieldrunners is a tower defense game.
Can't say for the others other than everyone knows what Tetris is.
are they launching along side the psp GO!? i never heard a release date i must have missed it
Yes, they are being launched along side the PSP Go. On October 1st a new section in the PlayStation Store will be added where you can buy and download them.
I love the idea of the minis but is there any screens or footage of the games set for release???
