Resolution's Jen Allen writes: I can't dance. Much like my singing prowess, it’s the sort of thing that I only really demonstrate in public while intoxicated. Much like singing though, I do enjoy it once I let my inhibitions go. I’ll even admit to the absolutely shame inducing confession that I’ve enjoyed playing High School Musical 3: Senior Year Dance – a game that’s clearly not intended for me yet is still embarrassingly fun to play. Dance! It’s Your Stage isn’t quite that much fun but priced at a keen 800 MS points, it’s hard not to recommend it to those who already have a dance mat and could do with more games to play with it. Even if it is lacking in a few key areas for everyone else.
MoveModo - PlayStation Move has seen six dancing games in its first year on sale, but none have hit the heights in the same way as Harmonix's Dance Central on Kinect, with Sony's SingStar Dance and Konami's DanceDanceRevolution the closest we've come to boogie bliss. The latest publisher to step up and try its luck is PQube with Dance! It's Your Stage, and it's clear it's going in a different direction than the competition.
SlimGamer writes: "In a world where instrument based games dominate the music game genre, it is nice to see a return to dance mat based rhythm games. There are a few titles still around this generation, but they are often overlooked and unappreciated. Back before there was ever a Guitar Hero or Rock Band on the home consoles, there were dancing based rhythm games in the arcades and later on the home consoles. Dance! It's your Stage puts its best foot forward to try and re-enter the video game market for this long lost style."
Evolved Gaming's writer Cory writes, "Dance! It’s Your Stage is, obviously, a dancing arcade title. In the game, you play as a character who dances at different locations and must earn medals to become the best dancer around. The game is 800 MS points, and is a very difficult game to recommend to people who don’t have a DDR dance mat, which the game is compatible with."
ANOTHER 360 dance game.
OMG!
Playing a danse game with buttons makes no sense what so ever.
