Five Greatest Halo Commercials (RunDLC)

By now, you’ve probably seen one or several Halo TV spots. Microsoft has gone to great lengths to not only advertise its greatest video game franchise, but also do this in imaginative ways. We’ve certainly come a long way since the Halo: Combat Evolved commercial, which primarily focused on the gameplay. Now we have live-action footage and one heck of a diorama encouraging us to fork over those precious dollars.

Although there are quite a few Halo ads, these five stand out as our favorites.

I'm hoping the next Halo games go that route of more immerse battles and darker gameplay elements. I like the colorful world of Halo, but the CGI ads are really something special.

I personally love the Halo series and although I wouldn't say that it is the epitome of FPS, it's a brilliant series. My only regret with Bungie not making more Halo's is that I really wanted Bungie to keep the Halo story going. I love the whole setting of it plus the storyline. There are so many opportunities and the way Bungie is incomparable to a book. For that reason, I really want Bungie to continue Halo. If not for its great gameplay, it's immersive story.

Sorry, I'm a big story buff, and I always feel dissatisfied after a great series ends. Leaves a hole in me for the next few days. After looking at the end of Reach, I felt that it was a great way to end Bungie's development of Halo games.

But Bungie, if you see this, please continue Halo!

I couldn't have said it better myself. There is one important detail you forgot though, the music. God the music. Easily some of the best music in any game, hands down. It was so immersive and always set the tone perfectly, not to mention when I first booted up Halo on the original XBox, the music on the title screen, oh my god. I can still remember the day and what was going through my mind at the time. Ohhhh nostalgia. But yeah, the storyline, the characters, and the lore in general just make the Halo games. Without them, the games would be nothing. Even with a weaker storyline, it wouldn't do it justice. Good job Bungie.

I wouldn't say the best ever, but it certainly is fantastic. The best OST would probably be for the MGS Series. Absolutely brilliant. I love soundtracks so much, I put them on my iPod and listen to them at school.

While the MGS series did have some amazing music, I just honestly prefer Halo's. I'm not sure why, I think in my opinion it sets the mood for the game more than the music in MGS.

I think the Deliver Hope trailer is the most powerful. It convinced one of my mates to buy the game, so it obviously served its purpose.
