SFG writes: Aragorn’s Quest is a third person action adventure game, that really is almost two different games in one. The first part you play as Samwise Gamgee’s son, Frodo Gamgee. You run around the Shire in preparation for a party, helping to complete tasks. The Shire is more like the games hub, and it is a giant sprawling world to explore. The tasks you complete are more like mini games designed to help you learn the Move controls. The second part of the game, you play through the LotR Trilogy, as Aragorn. Samwise narrates the story of Aragorn, as he is reading the book to his kids.
Which is the one true game to rule them all? Here are 10 of the best games based on Lord of the Rings and Tolkien's worlds.

I am not a big fan of the Lord of the Rings trilogy but it is a classic source of inspiration for fantasy stories. Aragorn’s Quest is based on Tolkien’s work and lets you guide the aforementioned hero as he battles the minions of Sauron. Your purpose is to reach the Black Gate of Mordor so that Frodo throws the magical ring of the evil wizard into the lava of Mount Doom and destroys it once and for all.
Nintendo Life - As a hack-'n-slash game based on the famous movie franchise, Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest enters a field that is already well-plowed by earlier releases. But with it's unusual twist on storytelling, is there something here worthwhile to nudge burned-out fans to march on Mount Doom one more time?
