this just looks awful. just awful

jrburdine4995d ago

U sony fanboys need to get a life...

this game is going to the be the biggest seller during christmas...

I got rhythm, and I can do this game just fine... Played during an expo event, and it works to a T...

The move is garbage, just to bring it up, I've played it everyday for the past week and its terrible, I did not buy it, I work at an electronic store...

If you want to keep this going, lets go...

Wh15ky4995d ago (Edited 4995d ago )

I'm not interested in what sells the most this chrismas, it doesn't really affect me as I don't make any money out of the sales.

The fact is that this video makes this game look garbage and is that how much space you need to play it? There's not many kids bedrooms or even living rooms in the UK that are that size.

I know you're just trolling, however I'd like you to explain why you think the Move is so terrible?

Edit:
@butterfinger: I'm not buying that. I used to own a Wii and the two devices feel vastly different. My sister still owns a Wii but she was visiting at the weekend had a shot of my Move and is trading in her Wii for a PS3 Move bundle today. I'm not a kid and I'm not arguing that it's better, I'm just being honest.

butterfinger4995d ago

the Move isn't terrible. It is perfect for PS3 owners that haven't bought a Wii yet. Sony did a perfect job of emulating their top competitor's hardware and tweaking it just enough where we can still have kids go on the internet and argue that it's better.

jrburdine4995d ago

First off, you have to be at least 4 feet from the TV for kinect to fully recognize your body...

From what I have played of kinect there is absolutely no lag issues, although I see them crop up in other vids on the net, I have never seen them when I play it...

Now to the Move, worse design for a controller ever period, I had a little 10 year old tell me it looked like an Ice Cream Dildo, I had no clue what to say to that but to bust out laughing...

Now the precision on the move isn't actually all that great, If you move slow its precise as all get out, but if you fling your arms around it goes haywire...

Eye-pet is a joke, software needs a big time patch, the damn animal doesn't even recognize your petting it half the time, sports champions works great because it doesn't really involve insane movement...

Now with the move trying to navigate through the xmb is tedious, you must have your arm directly lined up and move horizontally and vertically to a T to get it to move appropriately...

I don't know I just find Kinect a lot more satisfying, it probably is because I use to have a Wii, and this is a high def version of that, plain and simple...

If you have any questions regarding what I stated, let me know, I play it everyday to see if my mind ever changes and unfortunately it doesn't...

Wh15ky4995d ago

The guy in the video seems to be standing further back than 4 feet, more like 14 feet. Isn't it 6 feet that you have to stand back?

"From what I have played of kinect there is absolutely no lag issues" - What games have you played? I haven't played any, I'm just interested to know.

"Now to the Move, worse design for a controller ever period" Do you mean asthetically or functionality wise? I agree it does look kind of odd but as far as function goes it's excellent and feels very comfortable compared to the wiimote. I always go by the design theory that form follows function, therefore I have no problems with the design of the Move.

As far as precision goes, it is without doubt the most precise motion gaming device I have used. I have been using it since I bought it to navigate the XMB and after a little practice I find it very natural. It is useless for texting messages though.

"sports champions works great because it doesn't really involve insane movement..." Gladiator Duel? Table Tennis?

butterfinger4995d ago

It doesn't matter if you're "buying that". You've already bought Sony's BS about this being anything other than a Wii HD. It's easy to be impressed with the new motion tech on a different system other than the Wii, but that doesn't make it any better. BTW, you ARE arguing that it's better, and you ARE attempting to justify your purchase. What you AREN'T doing is manning up and admitting it. Also of note; I wouldn't be surprised if someone wanted to trade in their Wii for a PS3 Move bundle, and it could have absolutely nothing to do with the capabilities of Move. The PS3 offers the Wii experience with blu ray, great online, HD games and more. That still doesn't make the Move that much better, though. lol.

Wh15ky4994d ago (Edited 4994d ago )

"You've already bought Sony's BS about this being anything other than a Wii HD."
Why would that be a bad thing? If it was marketed as WiiHD (Mario not included), then I'd buy it. I liked the Wii, I just got sick of (what felt like) every decent game having Mario in the title, that and the fact that the graphics are pretty poor.

"BTW, you ARE arguing that it's better, and you ARE attempting to justify your purchase. What you AREN'T doing is manning up and admitting it."
Admitting what? Where have I argued? I have stated a couple of my opinions based on my experiences, what are you basing your comments on? I think you'll find that you are the childish one trying your ignorant little best to start an argument.

My quotes:
- "I used to own a Wii and the two devices feel vastly different."
- "I agree it does look kind of odd but as far as function goes it's excellent and feels very comfortable compared to the wiimote"
- "As far as precision goes, it is without doubt the most precise motion gaming device I have used."

All MY opinions based on MY experiences. Where am I arguing that the Move is better? I say the two devices feel "vastly different" - They do, if you tried it you'd know. I say it feels more comfortable to hold than the wiimote - It does, the move is cylindrical, the wiimote is square. I say it is "the most precise motion gaming device I have used", it is, again if you tried it you'd know. By saying the PSMove is more precise does not necessarily mean it is better than the Wii. At the end of the day it is all about the games, if someone prefers Nintendos games then they are going to think the Wii is better, simple.

Your quotes:
- "It is perfect for PS3 owners that haven't bought a Wii yet"
- "Sony did a perfect job of emulating their top competitor's hardware and tweaking it just enough where we can still have kids go on the internet and argue that it's better"
- "You've already bought Sony's BS about this being anything other than a Wii HD."
- "It's easy to be impressed with the new motion tech on a different system other than the Wii, but that doesn't make it any better."

What are you basing these comments on? Seriously kid, grow up a little, remove the anti-Sony goggles, take a step back, re-read our quotes, then tell me who is arguing here.

butterfinger4994d ago

You wrote that whole wall of text and then you ALSO had to send it to me in a PM? I guess you just have a hard time being the bigger person and letting it go. No, you're not arguing, obviously. /s LMAO.

There are no "thoughtful" ads in video games, EA

There are no thoughtful ads in Video Games, EA. Leave them be.

I think the only type of games that can gets away with it would be sport games, having those sponsors ads on the side like on real life.

But don't put freaking Doritos ads in Star Wars or something, it breaks the immersion. If it is a pop-up ads, then big no.

Hofstaderman7d ago

EA can thoughtfully eff themselves.

Makersbreath27d ago

EA coming back for the crown of being perceived as the worst company in gaming.

Chocoburger6d ago (Edited 6d ago )

One of my favorite series is the THPS franchise, and it was packed with ads, but it didn't bother me. Posters for skateboard companies, JEEP, and Nokia phones. It did sort of fit in with the game world, but that was the past, these days ad would be intentionally intrusive or unskippable loading screen type of imagery. Ugh, I know EA would do it in a horrible fashion. Screw them.

Report: Sexual Misconduct Investigation Conducted at EA, Suspects Named and What They Did Revealed

EA senior staff has been investigated for sexual misconduct involving female coworkers, and these said people have been named publicly.

isarai12d ago

Aye just call Phil, i mean he somehow made Bobby Kotick's scandal disappear and gave him a few million dollar high five on the way out.

Cacabunga12d ago

I wonder if it will be censored with some in game ads.

MrBaskerville10d ago (Edited 10d ago )

Microsoft did, Phil Spencer played a minor part. He instigated the buyout that led to Kotick escaping all his controversies while getting a golden handshake.

Someone on Twitter calculated that the people hired in Tango and Arkane Austin could get a decent salary for roughly 17 years for the money Kotick was paid.

InUrFoxHole9d ago

Yeah some thing tells me Kotics $ was already guaranteed before MS made the deal. As for the studios... Let's be honest here... none of those studios made system sellers.

XiNatsuDragnel12d ago (Edited 12d ago )

EA about to go down like Activision and then Phil saves the day saying.this is good for the industry and consolidation will help create competition. /s.

MrBaskerville10d ago

Then they shutdown Codemasters and studio behind Jedi Survivor.

Atleast they could hardly do much damage that EA hadn't allready done. EA has shut down most of their studios by now.

ravens5212d ago

What's up with all these horny creeps. You gon be horny, fine. Just not at work take care of that shit before you go in. Rub one out if you have to. Don't be a creep at all. ESPECIALLY at work. But don't be one AT ALL.

Extermin8or3_12d ago

I mean part of the issue is that things transpired outside of work....

MrBaskerville10d ago

That's the thing he mentioned about not being a creep at all.

KwietStorm_BLM12d ago

You think deviants care where they are? Work sometimes makes it an even better situation for them because they can abuse their power.

mudakoshaka11d ago

Nerds think they are Gods when they are making video games.

NotoriousWhiz12d ago (Edited 12d ago )

"it seems that according to EA, given the events transpired outside of work between two adults, and the fact that once investigation has started that the alleged perpetrators didn’t do it again, the investigation is considered closed. [...] The victim still has to work with the people that harassed her."

Yep, EA is disgusting.

Extermin8or3_12d ago

I mean the fact stuff happened outside of work puts EA in quite a difficult position legally. These women don't seem to have reported the matter to the police which kinda ties EA's hands on what they can do. If they don't file reports of the crimes then yeah from EA's perspective it is stuff that happened outside of work. The only exception is the guy that apparently referenced things in the slack channel for work, spending on what he said proving it may be very hard and he may well be able to get away with plausible deniability. I don't like EA and I think these people need to be dismissed but without any legal action being taken, EA can't really do much without risk of being sued themselves for unfair dismissal etc.

EA stocks haven't been profitable in over 5yrs. They better hope Take-two don't get the FIFA license lol.
