This week's Famitsu is beginning to leak, which confirms Valkyria Chronicles 3 for PSP. Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, and The Last Guardian are listed in this issue as well.

I must cosign as well. I have a PSP and I am getting VC2 and probably will get VC3 for it.

Still, I was hoping for a PS3 release.

I am beginning to think that Japan is forgetting how to sell console games. VC1 should have sold a million easily. That it did not is the height of marketing ineptness.

Well looks like the PSP is the definitive home of VC. I was expecting a PS3 release but I'm happy with a PSP version. VC fits very well on a portable.

VC2 is awesome for a PSP title but it definitely loses a lot going portable. When I heard VC3 was coming I thought "If Sega puts it on the PS3, it would be a perfect title to use the Move." But I guess I'll just get a great game on my PSP rather than a OMGWTFBBQ game on my PS3.

Considering how well VC2 turned out on th PSP, you do have to wonder.

I mean, what generally in terms of gameplay could be improved on the PS3? Not just graphics but gameplay.

Sega is just trying to be smart about their money, making vc3 and 2 for the psp is cheaper and will most likely sell more on the handheld translating into more money for Sega, vc fans get to take their game with them while they are on the go, everybody wins. Vc belongs on the psp.

They should of went the route of making side stories for the PSP and kept the main numbered games on the Ps3.

you could do have done so much more with vc3 on the ps3 instead of the psp. portable gaming is a pretty much a watered down version of console gaming. sega sometimes i wonder....

maybe it cost too much to make RPG games on current console? And since nintendo has been doing pretty well with RPG so far, PSP isn't a bad choice. PSP is made by Sony, so i don't think it hurts sony in anyway. And beside, VC isn't about the graphics but the story and gameplay. You can put VC on any console or handheld and it would be great. Now if you want to change it into an RPG with top of the line graphics (because that is what you guys are expecting), i don't think they can afford the money or time. And not a lot of people supporting VC1 so there is less incentive for Sega to release it on console.

Making it for the PSP is a far more safer option. It's a lot cheaper to develop for and the crazy handheld sales in japan mean they can't loose money.

VC sold almost 1 million on the PS3.. that's 1 million for a game genre that never does well in the states, and a game that was trying something new.. it sold almost 600K in the US alone..

So please stop this people, Valkyria Chronicles sold AWESOME on the PS3 and so far is not lighting up the PSP charts AT ALL

I sure as hell don't blame myself for purchasing Valkyria Chronicles. Hell when I bought and played this game 3 months ago, I purchased two more copies because I loved the game!

It comes to show that I have my full support for SEGA, and hopefully they will someday port Valkyria Chronicles 3 to the Playstation 3.

technically ps3 peep didn't support them with the 1st one and therefore, they went for psp. I think they didn't make enough money on it so what is the point when you can make the same game at a cheaper price and sell a lot more? For some reason, that doesn't strike you guys as a pretty good business decision?

Developer should cater to a few of you guys regardless if they make money or not, because they want to make you guys feel happy. Hum....u guys seriously need business 101 and quick.

I love VC by the way. But well i also understand it is business. You guys really should stop with those unrealistic expectation.
