Changing the APPEARANCE of the game won't make a game like DMC2 or DMC4 any less crappy. <_<

Look at how FFXIII bombed because they think Westerners can't handle all the "complex" gameplay mechanics from previous FF's.

A basic upgrade system that wasn't nearly as intricate as Westerners might be used to from open-world RPGs and a battle system that was really just a sort of twitch-response puzzle game. Bejeweled comes to mind. Recognize a pattern, shuffle the paradigm, rinse, repeat. Not to mention that 2/3 of your battle part is CPU-controlled.

In my opinion, the game was too simple. Stripped down. That's why there's negative consumer opinion about the game.

I'm just hoping for lots of JRPG announcements, whatever the system. We're at a point in the gen where they really start to crank them out (for consoles, hand-helds are swimming in them).

Agree about the need for rpgs but think you missed the sarcasm in the "complex" game mechanics....

im pretty sure thats what he was saying, that they thought westerners couldnt handle complex so they made it too simple

I am not impressed with Marvel vs Capcom 3's roster so far. Hopefully they will have some interesting character reveals. Also a new Darkstalkers would be much appreciated.
