LOL.. people are going on like this was an Xbox exclusive, it was on the PS2 as well. The only exclusive Oddworld game Microsoft had was Munches game. I think people are getting it confused with that.

I find this news very very surprising. If anything I would have expected game to be released on xbl as well. I'll have to give this game a try. 720p + MOVE support sounds great.

The Oddworld Series is a IP based on a world with many different characters and stories with a unique art style and different gameplays.

In the PSX Era the Oddworld Series debuted as Platformer with Abe's Odyssey with astounishing 3D effects and rendering.
Also the gameplay was really challenging.

Following were a sequel and various 3D Adventure games on the Xbox like Munch's Odyssey and Strangers Wrath.

And seriously, Strangers Wrath was one of the best Xbox Games out there.

This is awesome news! I never played this game on Xbox, but I always heard how awesome it is. I remember wanting to get it, but I had sold my Xbox and gotten a 360 to replace it, and this game wasn't on the backward compatible list, so I never bought it. I don't know if it ever got patched onto the BC list or not, but after a while I just sort of forgot about it. Now it's coming to PS3 with Move support, and it looks like a great sort of game for Move. Can't wait!

I remember the day I found out that MS had bought the franchise for a time and the rumoured to be 95% done ps2 munch was binned. A sad day.

Actually the PS3 is backwards compatible with more games than 360 or GC. With every PS1 being backwards compatible with PSX titles and the PSX having a larger library than the 360 or Gamecube.

I've bought both abes oddosey and exodus from PSN. awesome games, and they've aged quite good due to the whole game being pre-rendered graphics. tricky. but fun.

This is an incredible game! Just be happy it's coming. I've been unable to play my Xbox 1 copy for years because it was never supported for 360 BC. I got rid of my Xbox 1 thinking an update would address BC issues. I have e-mailed Microsoft multiple times requesting an update, but it never came. Finally I will be able to play it again. It was one of the best games to ever grace the Xbox 1.

it wasn't an xbox exclusive,only 2 (later) games in the series were exclusive to xbox and didn't sell as much as they did like the 2 PS1 exclusives,the first game in the series "Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee" was a PS1 & Windows exclusives.

This article is specifically about Stranger's Wrath. Given this fact, I have been talking specifically about Stranger's Wrath as well. I'm not sure what the hell you're talking about.

Regardless, I am hoping that Stranger's Wrath comes to PC through Steam as well. Porting from Xbox to DirectX has evidently been more difficult than anticipated based on what I've been reading.

With every other turn I'm finding more and more reason to love my PS3. I'm mean the games don't scratch, the controller is re-chargeable out of the box, the exclusives are great, the hard drive is easily and cheaply upgradable, the dvd slot is awesome, it's quiet and super sexy and it's a blu-ray player. :D I'm totally going to buy a new PS3 game next pay day. My baby deserves some love. AND OMG I LOVE STRANGERS WRATH. I only got it like 2 years ago. I was skeptical because Oddworld first person shooter just sounded too different, so I avoided it for the longest time. But once I bought it and actually played it I loved it to bits. It had me hooked in the first few seconds, then I couldn't put it down. I've been itching to play it again. And next Easter I'll be able to play it remastered in HD. I'm so glad Oddworld Inhabitants are back into games. Hell yeah! I frigging love those guys.

Just to clear things up the original studio is also porting this game to PC and after that 360. The PC version will be on Steam along with EVERY Odd World game ever made.

Also I would like to say this is amazing news, this game right here was a work of art, truly one of the best games of all time (in my book)

But if this is called "revamped" then they did a pretty shitty job. It looks like it's a 6 year old game.
