Steve Hunt is an impressive figure in the world of game developers. He published his first game, River Rally for the Atari 800/400, at the age of 14, and then did it again with Planet Attack at the age of 19. It would be entirely reasonable to say that this Brit has been a part of the video game industry for as long as there has been a video game industry. Recently, he transitioned back out of working for development studios and founded his own independent studio, Cold Beam Games. This year Cold Beam Games released its first product, Beat Hazard, which takes any song from your PC or Xbox 360 and turns it into the stage of a 2-D shoot-em-up that increases in intensity with the intensity of your music.

Games in Asia: "We’ve got a nice mix of FPS games, mobile games, a rhythm game and a beat-em-up this week. Can you guess what they are?"
"Having written about Trading Cards in the past, I’m both pleased and disheartened to see the MMO qualities of this system come to fruition so quickly. I’m interested to see the reaction from the gaming populace at this new DLC method, and whether other indie publishers see fit to lock skins or small gameplay tweaks behind Trading Cards. Only time will tell if this will be a one off oddity or a new horse armor moment for the industry." - Alexander Santa Maria of Geekenstein.com
