Tanaka Tires of "Fatigue" Rumors

[FFXIV] Producer Hiromichi Tanaka seems to have built up some "fatigue" of his own, and lashed out at foreign sites on Twitter today, calling them full of rumors and fabrications.

Should I breath a sigh of relief? Not until I hear from the horses mouths.

Biggest4995d ago

Isn't he a producer? How far into the horses mouth do you want to go? Anyone that believes the 1 hour or 8 hour limit thing isn't thinking straight. Why not ask the people that play the beta right this second? I know many people playing it and not one of them knows what the fatigue thing is.

MisterNiwa4995d ago

He most probaly wants to hear it from Kitase.

Crystallis4995d ago

Kitase is the one I want to hear from, like what Niwa said.

I know what it is, and I hate it! I was getting around 500 for killing fireflies. I leveled which dropped xp, but then the numbers turned red after awhile. The xp decreased a little bit, i didnt pay much attention to it until I got around 300 for the same mob. I asked around, at the time no one knew what it meant. (Tanaka is an A**hole for what he said) (During the interview with the german girl, u can clearly see him rolling his eyes, complete douchebaggery)

From what I have been able to find out from various forums and a few people in the beta I know the system is not nearly as bad as every site who reports on it makes it out to be.

From what I can tell the system as it stands in the beta is scaled up because the game is in beta and they are trying to see if in principal the system works. The Beta is not capped at the level the final game will be and because of that the system in the beta needs to work differently. In the final version of the game the system won't be as bad as it is in the beta and even the open beta will see changes to it.

One thing people keep failing to understand(and retarded sites like Sankaku don't help) is that the system doesn't stop you from playing. It simply tries to encourage you to use more then one job. Which by the way is something most people will be doing anyway. If you play to long on one job it wants you to switch it up and try another which helps you in the long run as most of the abilities in the game can be used on many of the jobs once learned on one of them. This helps build your character.

And again the system isn't final. It's entirely possible that in the final version of the game would only see the no lifers even the least bit affected by this(which in all honestly is what it sounds like from what I have read from SE)

Either way I am pretty much gonna stop reading about it because every site blows it out of proportion and the Open beta starts next month. If anyone wants to try the system out for themselves they can download the beta and try it out and see what they think. That's what I plan on doing.

Yeah, it's to encourage players to level different classes and get a mix of abilities instead of trying to max out only a couple classes at the beginning like FFXI. Like usual, people are being overdramatic "ZOMG FATIGUE I'M WALKING TO GAMESTOP RIGHT NOW AND CANCELLING! THIS IS BS!", stfu...no you're not. I had fun in the beta, especially in parties.

Abriael4994d ago

I'm writing it an in-depth article on how the system REALLY works (corroborated by the message of Komoto and my own experience in beta) right now, and yeah, it's not nearly as bad as some sensationalistic websites (including, oh the irony, kotaku) made it sound.
It'll be up in a lil bit as soon as it's proofed.

Optical_Matrix4995d ago

Why do you want to hear it from Kitase. He has nothing to do with this game.

koehler834995d ago

So why doesn't he set the record straight.. IN ENGLISH?!

Abriael4994d ago (Edited 4994d ago )

Nobuaki Komoto did, on the US and Euro beta tester site, it just took a day to translate it (with the mess mistranslations caused, I'm not surprised they made sure everything was in order).
Incidentally I'm writing an article to clarify how the system REALLY works and it'll be up in a bit :D

Square Enix Terminates 10,000 FFXIV Accounts Due to RMT

ESTNN writes: "On the eve of FFXIV's highly-anticipated Final Fantasy 15 collaboration event, the developers issued a statement on the game's official forum about the latest wave of player bans."

RMT ruins the economy for people who aren’t paying for in game money. Prices sky rocket for items. They really need to come up with a system that prevents in game money/item sales and still be able to trade items. I’m sure it can be done but the cost to do it is the issue.

One thing I do to combat this is not play.

Remember, dudes, game companies have no issues if you pay money to THEM to "save the time"
But how dare you pay to somebody else.
