Koku writes: "Over the past three weeks, I’ve been working on an experiment with my Cynic’s Corner videos. Instead of reviewing a game from the current console generation, or doing a retrospective on the pros and cons of an old classic, I wanted to do a character study. More specifically, I wanted to do three character studies of the main protagonists of GTA IV era Liberty City. GTA IV, The Ballad of Gay Tony, and The Lost and the Damned are not only some of the best experiences one can find on a current generation console (or on PC), but they contain some of the coolest and most well developed protagonists in video games today. Honestly, I believe the overarching plot of these three characters to be Dan Houser’s best work yet, so I hope that I gave the characters enough tribute, and that you enjoy this series of videos.
"Amazon has added new game deals for May 10th. Deals are Terraria $12, Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City $5, Thief $10 and lots more!"
"Have you ever thought of playing GTA IV like Elder Scrolls?"
"Have you ever thought of playing GTA IV like Elder Scrolls?"
Um... yeah I think about that a lot.
If you could cast Elder Scrolls spells in GTA, I probably would never have stopped playing.
Just in case you missed the memo, Steam has an amazing deal on all the GTA games. From the original GTA to Liberty City Episodes, they have it all and for amazing prices.
Not only the framerate, but the visuals are just remarkably better for the pc version. I was surprised at how much a difference in visuals there were between the PS3 and computer version of GTA IV.
I played through GTA3 during the summer, and the KB/M worked really well with the game. I got in on the GTA 1,2,3,Vice City and SA for $7.50 during the summer sale.
Certainly took a lot of work.
Liberty City got boring after a while.
Saints Row was a lot more fun and diverse to me.
Character development in a character is hard, especially because player's are given almost no motivation to do things other than what they are told and have no opportunity to deviate from that based on what they know (which would make replaying a game pointless when it has a strict storyline).
I starting playing it once more. Is the best GTA game, Liberty City does not bored me.
