It is well known and documented that all current game types are no suited for Kinect. Kinect is not there to do the same game as the Wii, the Move, or the controller. It is for different experiences. There are many games that may never see Kinect support. Who cares? I love my 360 controller, but I also love the things Kinect bring, that can not be done with Move or Wii or the 360 controller. You guys are completely missing the point of why Kinect will be very successful this holiday season. It is not the advertising that you will claim is the only reason for its success, but more so the experience. It brings a completely different exprience to gaming. It does not replace the controller like MS stated, it actually creates controllerless games and experienced. That is the better discription.

You're acting as if you weren't around for NATAL's E3 Debut very much saying it will usher in control-less gaming. Even more recently billy crystal, stephen speilberg, alicia keys, and other people Microsoft paid to claim so. They went as far as to fake a star wars video with an actor trying to catch up to the video. Speaking of videos, fake videos, where are all these games when Microsoft announced you to be able to play driving simulators siting down & shifting from your seats? Kinect will be a success because it will be sold to people based on false ideas of what it is/can do. There are no Kinect specific software titles out that aren't variations of Jump/Duck/Swat.

You could have the same amount of fun with a excercise/dance tape. Since its not interactive at all.

Kinect at the time of this writing does Webcam games. Nothing else.

By mid 2011 it is going to be clear that Kinect is going to put he XB360 into last place.

Kinect will have exclusive that CAN NOT be done on any other console. You keep thinking that having the Move just play game that you can do with a controller makes it a good option to expand PS3 fan base. Move to me is like DS3 where the right thumb stick is transformed into a pointer. It is and alternative to using the right stick. I predict that most of you will go back to the DS3 for most of your gaming rather than having to put the effort into pointing at the screen. Some games like RTS games may be the things that keep Move around, but most of the games it is used for will end up being better with the controller. That is where I stand. I don't see the controller being replaced by the Move, Kinect, Wii or anything else out there. Kinect has things that are negatives for some, and I fully understand that, but to thing the Move is perfect for every gamer is just crazy. I will list a few negatives that you probably never thought of:

1) Most game you like will require 2 things in your hands at all times. This means if you want a sip of water you will have to drop one of them then pick it up every time.

2) Having to hold your up to point all night will get old and you will soon miss the controller.

3)The many pieces create clutter in your play area. Some people are not bother by clutter, but I am constantly putting thing where there belong, and it is difficult to get everyone else to stick to that regiment.

I am not trying to say these things should stop anyone who wants the Move from getting one, I am just giving some balance to the conversation.

The casual market is not going to jump all over Kinect like you seem to think. The 360 is firmly burned into the public's perception as a hardcore gaming system. It's too late for Microsoft to change that. Same goes for Sony.

So in the end, between Kinect and Move, the motion control that caters best to the HARDCORE market will be the most successful. Hardcore gamers like MORE options, not less.

I want to play Golf. I had the other motiontracking thing on PS2 with Golf. It was awesome - even with the strings. It was accurate. I could play a game of Golf - feeling that I actually played Golf.

Now Tennis, Table-tennis, Boxing, Shooting - no way that I will prefer playing that with a DS3 controller.

1) If I want a sip of water - I pause the game.
2) No - for games suited to DS3, I use DS3, games for Move where appropriate.
3) I have 4 microphones for Singstar, Camera for Eye of Judgment, 5 DS3 controllers - the motion controller is just another accessory. You are reaching here.

What my point is - Move will enable to play a tennis game, golf, tabletennis, shooting, fighting - and do it in a way that is enjoyable. The devs are getting it - and they get it that Kinect is not good at those games. The balance to the conversation is simply a statement:

SELECT game = 3rd Party AND multiplat
WHERE move = TRUE AND kinect = FALSE

The result set will simply prove that regardless of PR BS, Move has industry support, Kinect not.

Namaco could have made the game using the Kinect if they decided to spend the time and money doing so.Its all about timing and money, now is not the time for TC on the Kinect,maybe TC next.
I never owned a Sony game product so I would like to know from some of the people that have: What happened to the Eyetoy which records show sold 10.5 million units world wide between 2003 to 2008 it had only aprox.70 software titles that used it? I know it was replaced by the PS EYE which brings my next question.
PSEYE from 2007 to the present has only released aprox.30 or so titles which includes GT5 for head tracking, How come these playstation peripherals have not been more popular and had better success before now?
I have family members that were dedicated Sony fans in our house and maybe that why I choose the other systems to add more gaming fun but they don't own a Eye add on for their playstation consoles.It would seem that with its background and being first of its kind for a console it would be very common in todays Playstation gaming community only now after all these years does it seem to have a chance shine if Move do not over shadow it.Third party need to get on the ball and catch up.
