Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom explores the symbiotic relationship between a boy named Tepeu and a Majin, a sort of nature golem with the mind of a vulnerable young child. Through a mixture of puzzles and combat, the pair explore the eponymous Forsaken Kingdom. At Gamescom, Daisuke Uchiyama, the game's producer, talked us through some more of the game.
GameZone: " Here are 10 disappointingly underrated titles that deserve a second chance in the form of a sequel on the next crop of video game platforms."
In the "Overlooked Gems" video series, Egg Says Whut?'s Ed Carmody-Peterson take a look at games that fell underneath the radar and asks if they deserved to be overlooked, or if they perhaps warrant a second chance. In the first episode, Ed plays Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom. Is it an overlooked gem? There's only one way to find out.
I loved Folklore and this game was awesome. It had an ICO vibe to it. Its a shame the studio is no more =/.

In this month's For the Love of the Games: three reasons you should play Game Republic's Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom!
It's a mediocre game. Not really a "must play". I guess it's ok if you're just renting it and have nothing else to play though.
I trust Games Republic, so fare they made great games like the original Genji on the PS2 and Folklore on the PS3 (I know I lot of you missed it, you should get it, great unique action/RPG).
Folklore was the first game I bought for my PS3 and while it was far from perfect it still stands out as the most unique game in my collection, the beautiful visuals and amazing story were let down somewhat by the constant loading and linearity of the levels but overall its atmosphere won me over. I would go as far to say that Folklore had the best ending of any game I've played on the PS3.
November 25th can't come soon enough for me.
For some strange reason, I'm extremely attracted to this game. Maybe because it reminds me so much of Spyro back in his glory days. Gosh, I loved Spyro so much, and I'm still praying for a proper Next-Gen revival from Insomniac, but the relationship between Tepeu and Taodle (The Majin) is just so reminiscent of Spyro and Sparx. Though not in the same capacity as you can command Taodle.
Definitely a game I've got on my watch list as the release grows closer.
