Well, I'm not too worried about how good the game is going to be. However, I am worried about the length. I really want this game to be 20+ hours, but the gameplay is very fast paced and I don't know if it'll be that long.

ChickeyCantor5001d ago

"I wanted at least 4.5/5"

Why? Cause if you play it and enjoy it who cares about the .5?

darkcharizard5001d ago

lol, that's so true. But I want it to be ME2/SMG2/RDR quality :(

swice5001d ago

Why don't you make that judgement on your own?

ChickeyCantor5001d ago

"But I want it to be ME2/SMG2/RDR quality :"

Dont tell me you honestly believe ratings have a stable constancy when it comes to actually rating a game right?
I mean for the same reason one is giving a game a 5 that very reason could give another game a 7.

darkcharizard5000d ago (Edited 5000d ago )

But if a game is truly great, then it receives positive reviews universally. Just look at Super Mario Galaxy 2...

100% of the reviewers have given it more than 90%

I want Other M to be truly great! - If u know what i mean... and if you don't i guess you'll keep quoting and arguing :|

ChickeyCantor5000d ago (Edited 5000d ago )

Even games that scored lower were stijll enjoyable to others.
You can't base greatness off a universal score cause even that could be just a bandwagon of bias.

Play the game, and then tell me if the rating still matters to you.
Cause now you just crying over something useless. a .5? come on now.

I want this game to be great too, but an unstable rating system wont stop me from thinking that i actually like the game in the end.

wait so who exactly reviewed it?
technically speaking its a best buy review?

gameseveryday5001d ago

That sounds good based off the review. Want to hear more.

jazzking20015001d ago

agreed
will wait for more reviews

Valay5001d ago (Edited 5001d ago )

That's a good first review, but I'll be interested in how I like it myself. Also, this is just a personal thing, but I hate 5-point scales since it's really tough to judge a game's overall quality on that. I personally like game reviews with a 10 score or more when there is a score involved. If that makes any sense. :P Anyway, good score for Metroid: Other M, and I hope I enjoy it when it comes out.

Can't wait until next week!

Nioh games definitely up there at the top alongside Ninja Gaiden BLK.

LoveSpuds473d ago

There is a decent fan base for the Nioh games, but still think they are criminally overlooked and under appreciated.

I just bought the PS5 collection to replay them again with all their DLC, a sweet collection for my games shelf for sure.

Yea, those gardens haven't been plowed in over 10 years now though. Imagine if they cultivated it, let it grow again.

Starman69473d ago

Amazing what ya can do with a samurai sword lol 🤣

tehpees3474d ago

The honourable mention though.

TheSenorCheese474d ago

originally it wasn't going to be included because of their take on Samus' character. But the gameplay's actually not bad.

Vits473d ago

Honestly, I don't know if we can even blame them for that take. Nintendo's Sakamoto was credited as the writer and from what we learned later with the Retro Studios interviews for the Prime series, Nintendo apparently never saw Samus as this stoic badass that most of the west imagined her as. Going as far as describing her as "motherly".

shinoff2183474d ago

Ninja Gaiden was dope but I don't really care for alot of their games.

Reggie originally thought Metroid: Other M would be a "killer moment" for the series

Former Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime reflects on Metroid: Other M and his initial high hopes for the game.

Well it almost killed Metroid so…

PhillyDillyDee719d ago

Yeah we all loved how you took a stoic badass and turned her into a whiny shrew. All those writers should be sacked.

Terry_B719d ago

Sometimes, I doubt that Reggie was that great for Nintendo after all.

2D Metroid Retrospective: Bring on the Remakes

VGChartz's Paul Broussard: "The early-mid 2000s saw something of a golden age for Metroid games. After an eight year hiatus, Metroid burst back onto the scene in dramatic fashion. Largely buoyed by the critical and financial success of Metroid Prime (at least, relative to other Metroid releases), Metroid saw a whopping six new titles between 2002 and 2007, as well as one rather bizarre pinball spin-off that wound up being much better than it had any right to be. Metroid had never been this popular before."

Never though the day would come where I say this but I’d be fine with having every 2D Metroid remade the way Dread plays.

INMATEofARKHAM938d ago

I just want them all in the Switch.
