The game is looking very good.

tinybigman5015d ago

why would they do this to me? my two favorite racing series of all time just two weeks apart. man november is stacked and i'm going to be so broke from buying both these along with ACB, LBP2, Sly Collection, and for me the last CoD game i'll ever buy.

why developers, why would you do this to me?

AAACE55015d ago (Edited 5015d ago )

Hopefully it brings back the feeling from the old Hot Pursuit games. I miss those days! I did like Most Wanted though...

EDIT: Yeah, just because Criterion is making the game doesn't mean it will be like Burnout! Get that out of your mind right now. The goal is to take the franchise back to what made it popular and put a new twist on it... not to make it like another game.

tinybigman5015d ago

Most Wanted and Shift were the last good NFS games. HP should bring the series back to its former glory.

goflyakite5014d ago

Damn I didn't know it was coming out so soon.

Jls15015d ago (Edited 5015d ago )

indeed and that def reminded me of most wanted

Tsar4ever015015d ago (Edited 5015d ago )

Game looks HOT by having that BURNOUT series flava on it, but wheres the people? I didn't notice a single person in the game. After every cop chase victory they should show the cop cuff the suspect and slam him/her against the sqaud car along with the BUSTED icon. And with every suspect escape they should show the player victory GLOATING at cops and braging to his/her peers icon. or somthing to that nature.

Foxgod5015d ago (Edited 5015d ago )

Why do people keep mentioning burnout?
This game plays exactly like the previous Hot pursuit's, and NFS Hot pursuit is a lot older then burnout.

Burnout got its flavor from Hot pursuit, not the other way around.

beavis4play5015d ago (Edited 5015d ago )

i think most people on the site are too young to remember the classic HP/HP2.

i'm with you though - this reminds me of CLASSIC hot pursuit gameplay!!! and i can't wait to get a hold of this!!!!

Tsar4ever015015d ago (Edited 5015d ago )

The reason "Foxgod" why people keep mentioning BURNOUT about this game is simple. "Criterion Games" is participating in this game's full development. Go read about it. I mean JUST LOOK AT IT. The way it sound, The way it moves, The blur effect based visuals in speed. The outstanding physics & the spectacular hollywoodish slow-mo crash sequences. Now put on(*If you have' em) Burnout: Paridise or any of the ps2 era Burnout games and make the visual and gameplay comparisons. It practically the same. ALL that EXCEPT the sole purpose of the game itself, the NFS: HP gameplay critiria.

Can't wait, hopefully it brings some awesomeness to need for speed.

Looking Back to Two of Need for Speed's Best Games - Most Wanted and Hot Pursuit

Paul writes - "EA know a good thing when they see it, and for multiple years November was Need for Speed month. In a break from the usual routine, I'm going to be looking back at two games here, released in 2005 and 2010 respectively. The earlier game is Need for Speed: Most Wanted, which has the distinction of being one of the very best in the franchise. The second game comes from 2010, and is Need for Speed Hot Pursuit; which I'll talk about just as the Remastered version of the game has hit the stores."

Hotpursuit 2 was good as well.

The-Matrix-has-you171d ago (Edited 171d ago )

I completely adore this game! In fact its probably my favorite racing game. I recently dusted off my xbox 360 to play Most Wanted 2005. Still a great game, though I do not remember there being such horrible performance. Like massive frame-pacing issues. screen tearing, latency. If any game ever truly needed to be remastered, it this one for sure!

Uuuu, I loved this one. I want it.

LucasRuinedChildhood1325d ago

No NFS released since Hot Pursuit (2010) has came close. The Ghost Games NFS games were just dreadful (to me they were anyway, 2015 was okay I suppose). Would love to replay this and I hope it has an update for next-gen as well.

DarkZane1325d ago (Edited 1325d ago )

I loved Most Wanted as well (on PS3, I think it released in 2012). After that, it has gone downhill, but the latest games are slowly coming back up. I loved NFS Heat, but it needs to get better before it comes back to same level as NFS Hot Pursuit and Most Wanted.

Then again, NFS Hot Pursuit and Most Wanted were likely better because they were from Criterion (in fact, those were the last 2 games from criterion in nfs series).

LucasRuinedChildhood1324d ago

@DarkZane
complete agree. Most Wanted was good fun as well.

boing11324d ago

Yeah, Criterion has made two best NFS games in my opinion.

georeo1324d ago

Oh yes! They cops vs the drivers online was a blast.

LucasRuinedChildhood1325d ago

Better be 60FPS unlike the original console ports.

Sgt_Slaughter1324d ago

I would be excited but NFS is basically dead in the water at this point, a shell of its former self.
