Top Ten SNES Games On Virtual Console (RunDLC)

Before the Wii came along, we had to leave old consoles within reach, just in case we got a hankering for some retro games. Nintendo changed that with Virtual Console, which contains hundreds of classic titles from multiple systems, including the Super Nintendo. That 16-bit machine dominated our lives, as we crowded around the TV screen to play Street Fighter II, Super Metroid and countless other hits. Now they’re a download away, and we don’t even have to blow in the cartridges to make them work.

Virtual Console plays host to numerous SNES games, but these ten are without question the best.

Ah...most of my favorite SNES games all in one place. Would have loved to see final fight on there, but it''s not a top 10 game.

I'm also a big Final Fight fan...i'm a fan of beat-em-ups in general. But yeah, not one of the top 10 snes games.

Ooh....what about F-Zero? That was great all those years ago. Makes me wish Nintendo would finally release a sequel on the Wii....it's been forever.

amazing CONTRA did not make the list.

Sure, F-Zero was great. I loved the GameCube one...it was crazy...racing around the roulette wheel. Had a blast.

Agree on Super Metroid. Game's the bomb.

Definitely...i remember this girl in high school (when I was in HS) invited me over to check it out, and I had a blast....just playing the game of course.

Secret of Mana was a big favorite of mine. I pretty much geeked out over all of the SNES RPGs....especially Chrono Trigger, which really needs to be on VC now that it's on the DS. Nintendo needs to step up with these retro games and not deny the fans.

Was never much of an RPG guy....more into platform games like Mario. BUT, Super Mario RPG was the lone exception.

Fusion did a great job at it. Really love that horror feel with metroid. I mean you are completely alone on alien planets filled with horrific monsters and toxic environments.
