im getting true crime for that

Voltago5024d ago

I think i go for Berlin. Never played something set there.

MisterNiwa5024d ago

LOL? WHAT? AHAHAHAHA!
Can't remember that True Crime: Hong Kong is set in Tokyo!

And Berlin isn't really a place where GTA belongs.
London would fit a lot more.

Yi-Long5024d ago

... should be reason enough not to buy it.

2nd reason would be that True Crime is Hong Kong. Not Tokyo.

3rd reason would be that Rockstar would probably deliver a MUCH better game. From what I've seen from True Crime HK, it isn't very impressive, and it also never really looks or feels like the real Hong Kong (although maybe that's because of the limited amount of media we've seen of the game so far...)

I would absolutely LOVE a GTA Hong Kong, or just set it in a fictional asian city that combines the best of the major asian cities.

I've been to Hong Kong a bunch of times, and it's the ideal playground for a sandbox game, even including 3 distinctly different 'islands' (1: HK island, which is more modern and western. 2: new Territories, which is kinda like 'older' and 'poorer' and suburbs and lots of hills. 3: Lantau Island: Lots of great nature, cable-cart, airport, industrial territory, etc etc.)

I would prefer something around Detroit in the winter. You have weather, a city, plenty of country and suburbs as well. The minority population is Mexican, Arab, and of course Canadians would be cool.

Yeah id love a Tokyo setting for GTA!
But please make the character into an actual Japanese main character.
Id really hate to play as a Weeaboo!

they should make it so you start out as a nobody in a suburb to the city doing petty crime, and then work your way up and eventually move into the city and gain control over it. Rags to riches kind of story. Aging would be cool as well. Start as a teen and go through different stages of life. They should make so that you at one point in the game end up in jail, meeting new people and having to do missions before you are released. Like part of the story.

Main story would take about 40 years then. Awesome!
There is to many short games in this gen.

Dee_915024d ago

start off as a 18-19 y/o in the suburbs doin petty crimes and get involved in some deep shit like drug cartels and gangs and shit

I think London would be a good setting but it doesn't fit the rockstar city or dividing the city into part....London really can only be split in half by the Thames. Also because GTA is made by a UK company then the British accents would be realistic (i.e. more cockney and less really posh/Australian sounding) las Vegas I think will be a bit hard to do for the same reason....Out of the past cities i loved san andreas because of it large open world from desert to urban

I don't think that the new GTA will be set in an existing city. My guess is on either Carcer City or Vice City, hopefully the latter.

The idea of Berlin and Moscow is pretty intriguing because there aren't that many open world games (if any?) set in those destinations.

1 major advantage to this will be launching it straight from SteamVR. You have to make a custom shortcut to get it working right now in VR.

The main tip that I would tell a new player is: know how and when to pick your fights. Sometimes it's better to avoid a skirmish altogether and focus on the missions. And if you are indeed starting a fight, try to end is as soon as possible and focus on the smallers enemies first, because if you get rid of all those bastards then they won't call for backup and you'll have time to finish the bigger threats
