Sega-Addicts Review: Scott Pilgrim vs. the World

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is a dangerous game to review. It’s a title that’s built to be impervious to criticism. The fanbase is already built in and anyone who was going to buy it already has. And any criticism I can hold against it will be defended as ‘retro’. When a game attempts to invoke a retro feeling by emulating game mechanics and stylistic themes, it should also fix the things that didn’t work at the time. Scott Pilgrim doesn’t really fix any of these things.

Great game, can only pray for an online MP patch.

Agree on Online MP.

This is a fun game, with a few quirks here and there. But it's retro throwback and classic appeal, with the added RPG & QTE awesomeness, it is a really good game for the PSN/XBLA. Plus in a time where most people are trying to get $15/1200 MS points for short ass games, it's cool to see it's only $10 with plenty of replay value. Definitely my second favorite multiplat DLC game of this year, next to DeathSpank. I recommend getting it. And to anyone who thinks this is a movie game to the Michael Cera flick, it's not. It's based on the comic with the same art style. Think G4's Code Monkeys meets River City Rancid.

Every industry has these issues

Some companies I’ve worked for were great and some were toxic as hell (UPS when I was a teenager was extremely toxic and I have heard it still is) It all starts at the top. They either hold people accountable , set standards and treat people with respect or the crap rolls downhill.
