Apple Plans Revamped Apple TV That Targets TV, Music, Movie, and Gaming Platforms

If the latest rumors flying around are true apple is looking to completely remodel the Apple TV from the ground up while dropping the price to get the new device into as many homes as possible."

"Both the iPhone and iPad top grossing applications sections are dominated with games , so it makes sense for apple to continue their push into the living room through gaming as well.In fact this could be a Major disruption to console manufacturers such as Sony and Microsoft. If apple can release a $99 complete TV, Movie, Music, and Gaming platform with applications costs ranging from $.99 to $12.99 and allow for external joysticks, or allow the iphone & iTouch devices to be used as joysticks this could be big."
