It’s the next big evil that we all know is coming and are still refusing to admit, in the next few years it is pretty much guaranteed that Activision will begin charging for online play in Call of Duty but the big question is whether we will pay or not
Microsoft's Activision subsidiary announced today that it is opening a new game development studio to take advantage of the huge talent pool growing in Poland. It'll be the second Activision studio based in the region, joining Infinity Ward Krakow, although this studio is, in fact, not working on Call of Duty.
The details for multiple future Call Of Duty games appear to have leaked, including a follow-up to Advanced Warfare.
Activision Blizzard ordered to pay $23.4M for patent infringement involving popular games.
I would read the article but the giant pop-ups from the top and bottom of the screen made me close it.
Without reading $23.4 million isn't a deterrent for a company that size.
Boss: Let's fire a few people to recoup on that loss.
Slave: Cortana has decided to get rid of Arkane Austin and Tango Gameworks.
Boss: Let's get those Firing Letters "Copilot Approved" and send them through the power of the cloud.
Slave: Long Live Phil !!!
ALL in the room: LONG LIVE PHIL !!!!
Well another troll company with a patent trying to extort money out of companies. Seems like they’re going to try and sue everyone.
Who'd want to pay online for those games when there are awesome games like TF2 & L4D2 which offer dedicated servers, custom user maps(which other games charge for as DLC).

No way, I'd rent the games and finish single player only.
I would not pay a subscription to play online unless the game is a really really good MMO (Eve-online = happy days)! And even then, I'd play for a coupe months and then canel my sub anyway!
The beauty of capitalism is the the power actually lies with the consumer. If the consumer says 'no', your product won't get off the ground!
I guess gamers are not your typical consumers eh!
I love a good MP shooter, but there is no way I'll be paying monthly for the privilege. MMO's are one thing, since there is an insane amount of content, and even then, people probably think of WoW right off the bat. Whilst WoW has proven successful, there are many, many MMO's that fell flat.
We are a long way off from paying monthly to play our FPS titles.
i not even buyin black ops or any other COD
