IGN: HoopWorld Review

IGN writes: "The upcoming remake of NBA Jam may no longer be an exclusive for Wii, but at least we've still got HoopWorld. This 3-on-3, over-the-top, no-fouls-called arcade hoops game has a lot in common with EA's more famous ball-on-fire franchise, but liberates itself from that comparison enough to stand on its merits. And, bonus, it was originally supposed to be an Xbox Live Arcade release. We got it instead. So, you know, payback for the Jam thing".

1UP: HoopWorld WiiWare Review

1UP writes: "While most people know basketball as an American institution popularized in the 20th century, the creators behind HoopWorld view history a little differently. According to local lore, it was actually an old civilization known as the Elders that created a series of kung-fu basketball temples across the globe that inspired the sport we know today. If that's a little too much for you to handle, don't fret -- HoopWorld hardly mentions any of this nonsense once you're in the game."
