"Black Ops is the game to beat this year"

For sales, yeah.

But for everything else (graphics, gameplay, support, non-glitchyness) it has already been beaten by dozens of other 360 and PS3 games this year.

Yeah, if they're suggesting this is going to be the best game of the year I think they're just a wee bit misinformed.

IGN will be giving Blackops multiplayer GoTY.

They seem to be infatuated with the cod franchise. pc version of mw2 9.5.

need I say more.

But not by Bloodstone.:P

I think Bloodstone is going to have trouble, Bizarre Creation's last couple of games have all bombed, it doesn't seem to have any hook and not only does it compete with Black Ops but Goldeneye will be stealing hype and sales.

A thorn in the side is a good way to explain it. You have everyone else trying to put new things and spent months on balancing stuff and just perfecting their game in every way. But Cod come back out with a few new toys in the trailer, it is the same game as MW2 with some new toys to mess around with but of course people will eat that up until they realise it's the same as the last 3 games from the last 3 years

Yeah, why do people think every single Call of Duty game is gonna be the bees knees?

It's the name and the hype I tell ya!

the only ones that are gonna have trouble are the ones that are gonna make their games like COD.

edhe5015d ago

Indeed - witness borderlands last year.

Darkfiber5015d ago

I can't believe people still pay money for this shit. The only decent developers who ever made a Call of Duty game are gone, they are just going to be made by crappy development teams pumping a new one out every year. It's astounding to me that people just keep buying these games.

Black Ops is the new Mini Game collection to beat.

Yo kill three guys, get the MiniC4 Car mini game, kill two, get the Missile Minigame, kill three more get the Support Helicopter Minigame hehe.

It is like entering an old school Arcade and playing each game the mini games hehe.

Wizziokid5015d ago

only in sales and it will sell because people don't realise they are being robbed by activision which each COD game they bring out.

Actually great list TBH I agree with all 10

I hope one day we get some remakes for the following

The saboteur(with a proper remake and quality of life features this game could be great)
Scarface world is yours
Binary domain ( such a great game with great story)
GUN(this needs a remake)
Space marine 40k(such fun time)

Would also like to suggest adding the mercenary series even the 2nd game which is disliked by many is a fun time

I recently finished Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine and found it to be very enjoyable.

The game respected the lore and the gameplay was quite decent.

The color palette was a bit underwhelming (backdrops and setting) and recycled but I think that it deserved better.

Here's hoping for an amazing sequel

Black Ops 1 Nuketown versus Cold War Nuketown '84

From DownSights: "Black Ops is not Black Ops without Nuketown. Following the tradition of releasing Nuketown for Black Ops games, the new Black Ops Cold War game also offers a revamped Nuketown called Nuketown '84.

Nuketown '84 has the same dimensions and map layout except for the aesthetics. The map's aesthetics have changed to fit the 80s theme, with destroyed buildings and graffiti-filled walls compared to a clean 50s suburban neighborhood seen in Black Ops 1."
