Critical Gamer: Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2: demo impressions

Critical Gamer writes: The first Ultimate Ninja Storm game, developed by CyberConnect2 and published by Namco Bandai Games exclusively for PS3, was a fairly standard fighter by all accounts – but it did receive wide praise for just how well it captured the visual style of the Naruto animé.

This may be the jumping off point for many readers, given that an inherent interest in the subject matter is pretty much a requirement. Those who know nothing about Naruto beyond the obvious would probably either not care or be too distracted wondering why a ninja would dress in bright orange to pay attention to whether the game was any good or not. That said, there may be other aspects of the game which could lure in new players, including a cameo appearance by Lars Alexandersson of the Tekken franchise and an easy to use control scheme.

I'd never heard of the anime, but this looks pretty good.

I'm surprised. Anyone who has an interest in anime will have come across Naruto at some point. You should check it out as I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

@RedDeadDestroyer

Imo, even though the fillers are horrible, they're still essential to the story, and now that half of those episodes have been out for a while, watching fillers isn't bad because you can easily go onto the next one once you're done.

Fillers only really bother me when it's a filler week with no new episode. Then I get mad. other than that, fillers aren't too bad.

Watch the first 5 episodes atleast. The start of it kinda suck but it picks up very quickly after the first 3 episodes(episode 4 and 5 are very good) . The first 30 episodes are just sort of an introduction but they show alot of what the show has to offer and they do kick ass.

CaptainMarvelQ85019d ago

he should not watch the fillers or he'll bore himself to death

RedDead5019d ago (Edited 5019d ago )

Ok if anyone does watch, Don't watch episode 97. 102-106. And don't watch anything except maybe the last 5 mins of ep 220 after episode 135.

Also here's another link to eps because the other two don't work on some vids that should work here http://www.animeseason.com/...

EDIT--Anime is better than manga if you skip fillers and pretend shippuden doesn't exist. But if you actually go on to watch it you'll end up reading the manga when the episodes are all done. You'll want to know what happens next. Oh yes and definately stay away from dubbed version. It really is bad. It gives Naruto a bad reputation.

Dattebayo sounds good though hehe

Read the MAnga...... Manga is always better than anime

Day one purchase for me...seems very similar to the first but who cares

and if you do watch the anime don"t watch the American version..."believe it" he never says that ever in he Japanese version Never

CaptainMarvelQ85019d ago

well he does say "Dattebayo" :D

Shang-Long5019d ago

Manga> anime by far I just wish more pages had color but with manga you dot worry about fillers. However if anyone has seen "Hitman Reborn" that is one anime that the fillers don't bother me. It's either something part of the story or just a flat out funny episode.

"Let Me Solo Her" Receives A Special Award From Namco Bandai For His 1000th Victory Against Malenia

Immersed Gamer writes: "Let Me Solo Her is a legendary Elden Ring player who mastered one of the most infamous bosses to help his fellow tarnished via co-op. And for his service, he received an award from Namco Bandai to commemorate his 1,000th victory. The reward in question is a real, and extremely dope, custom-made sword.

Malenia is regarded as the hardest boss in Elden Ring, and the relentless Tarnished has defended literally thousands of hosts against this malice. Let Me Solo Her apparently passed 2,000 Malenia kills a while back, but it’s hard to measure the exact count he is at now. Bandai Namco sent the gift his way when he was at around 1,000 kills. But due to the nature of the object, it got stuck in customs for a while!"

At least it's the right franchise

TTT is one of my all time favorite games, but I always found its soundtrack to be terrible. I'd mute the music and put my own on.
