Kotaku - Bungie says it’s never been a follower, preferring instead to forge its own way. So when Reach doesn’t follow the typical class-based shooter template for its multiplayer, it’s no great surprise.
“We certainly aren’t blind to what’s going on in the community and what’s going on in the market,” says Reach executive producer Joseph Tung when asked about his series being eclipsed in Xbox Live popularity by Call of Duty. “At the same time we absolutely do not look at that game and go, well, what do we need to do to be like that game.”
GF365: "Oftentimes, video games have characters who are antagonistic and really not very pleasant. Here are some of the friendliest characters in games where you might not otherwise expect to find them."
Talented writers can build worlds that are as wondrous as real-life. Here are the best lore-rich video games for you to get immersed in.
How'd fallout not make the list. Atleast over cyberpunk, tales , and halo. Fallout been around since what 96 98 and has 5 6 games into it. It's full of lore when you play it. I'd even add star ocean to a point.
narration is more important than lore i'd rather watch the story and characters in a more cinematic way instead of searching for notes and stuff that's why i love sony exclusive games like uncharted and gow and hate from software games
Halo’s best ever campaign mode developed by Bungie has had its most annoying feature fixed after more than a decade, making the sci-fi FPS game better than ever
Awesome news - so can we look forward to playing Halo: Infinite with no online issues circa 2033?
Well I guess 12 years is faster than most fixes. I guess this is a cheap way to "remaster" something nowadays.....by just fixing something that used to always be broken.
Halo is dead. Microsoft has other shooter franchises it cares more about now. 343 are no longer Xbox golden studio. They are likely to shift things around or even close it all together and give the IP to someone else.
343i decided to pummel the IP into the ground...and when they see it didn't quite look like Glenn's face they decided to just keep on pummeling. Not sure if Glenn is the IP or the fanbase in this case though.
“ Halo Infinite, Halo 3, or Halo: Combat Evolved. It’s hard to say which of the sci-fi FPS games offers the best experience all round.”
He lost me with Halo Infinite.
Bungie n co. are some really talented developers. This will turn out to be a success for them. 1/3 of the Xbox owners in this world would have already planned to buy it come 14 September.
I don't think Call Of Duty's recent success (in financial terms of course) will have anything to do with Reach's sales. It will always sell great regardless of what PS3 fanboys say. They need to wake up and face the facts.
Btw, do you guys think we will be able to fly a Falcon in MP this time? I hope so. Gosh, I can't wait for the online portion of the game. I also want my avatar to run faster cos I found that Halo ODST was a little bit slow. You can't really run in the game. I'm craving for some fun with my friends as I have already stopped playing Halo 3 a long time ago. I sold it btw and I regret doing so. Has anyone ever encountered this problem before? The moment when you wake up every morning and play a game until 10 o'clock in the night and the next day, you do the exact same thing. Until you stop playing it and miss it badly. Remembering how I used to conquer the battlefield, what weapons I used, I feel bad selling it.
Halo Reach will be a great game (subjective) and I know I'll buy it. A lot of my friends have already pre-ordered it and for that reason, count me in too. Day 1.
“Halo magic” yes it is and it should stay just like that! “It’s a balancing act,” THANKS GOD THEY KEPT THAT IN MIND :) Do you think Bungie is on the right track? hell yea !!!!!!!
