"to rank at No. 190"

Being so close to release that is shocking

Lazarus695028d ago

So pre orders aren't always a good indicator for how well something will sell

Bigpappy5028d ago (Edited 5028d ago )

Got to a 360 fanboy article. There is no way anyone see this a positive.

HeroXIV5027d ago (Edited 5027d ago )

True, but I hope it is a good indicator for LBP2 because being 11th and more expensive than a normal game? Kudos.

MostJadedGamer5027d ago

Well if people are smart they will buy all the Move parts seperately instead of wasting an extra $10 on a set of crappy mini games.

D4RkNIKON5027d ago

Yeah, I plan to buy it and don't have my pre order in so your logic is fail omega

D4RkNIKON5027d ago

Because here in the future, we have these things we like to call "Buttons" which turn out to be pretty important to the handful of Millions of people out there who like to enjoy shooters and other games that don't involve a big red ball.

YourCall5027d ago

Serously though, buttons have been around before you were even conceived, lets not try a make it like buttons is something form the future. As a matter of fact, we all know futuristic things will be camera, thermal, and voice controlled.

It's as simple as using sinks in public places, things are getting to where you don't need to touch them. Walk into a store and the door opens automatically. Keep thinking "here in the future" we are using buttons.

MostJadedGamer5027d ago

Well the bundle is a absolute ripoff. Its actually better to buy everything seperate. The bundle doesn't include the PS3 Navigator Controller which is something you really need for the full Move experience.

All you are doing by getting the bundle is paying a extra $10 for some crappy mini games. Its actually cheaper to buy all Move parts seperately. That is why the bundle is a complete joke.

Bundle= $100
Navigator Controller= $30
Total= $130

Move Controller= $50
Eye Camera= $40
Navigator Controller= $30
Total= $120

So it is actually cheaper just to buy everything seperately. This is why the bundle is a total ripoff, and total garbage.

What Sony needs to do is have a $100 bundle which have the Move Controller, Eye Camera, and Navigator Controller.

Briefcase Joe5027d ago

I hit disagree, but I meant to agree. I too would rather have a Navi than the game.

xman065027d ago

the navigator control is optional. you can use your DS3 controller as it is the same thing.

sikbeta5027d ago

"PS3 Navigator Controller which is something you really need for the full Move experience"

NO, the DS3 can replace the Navigator controller

Bundle:
·PS-EYE
·PS Move
·Sports Champions
Total = $100

OPTIONAL -> Navigator Controller = $30
Total = $130

You don't need the Navigator from day 1 in order play games, if the DS3 doesn't feel comfortable to you, then go go buy a Navigator...

jneul5027d ago

your maths sucks ps eye $32.82 + $49.96 + sports champions $39.96 = $122.74 to get what exactly(if you buy separately) you have in the starter pack minus the demos.

Daver5027d ago

@dennis580

and what will you play with your 10$ less package?? idiot

xman065027d ago

how in the hell did i get a disagree for stating a fact?

acky15027d ago (Edited 5027d ago )

Move bundle - £44.99
Nav - £24.91
Total = just under £70

Separately,
Move - £29.99
Nav - £24.91
PSEye - £21.99
Total = about £75

idiot(s).

(from amazon.co.uk)

IdleLeeSiuLung5027d ago (Edited 5027d ago )

Actually the correct items you will need for the FULL experience (NOTE: FULL EXPERIENCE):

- 2x wands
- 1x navigator (or a DS3 if you want to put up with that)
- 1x ps eye camera

so at a minimum, you will have to spend

2x wands = $50 x 2 = $100
1x camera = $40
1x navigator = $30 (some would argue you don't need this, but if you Sony is selling it, it must be because they don't think the DS3 is a proper solution)

Total bill is $170 for one gamer unless you remove the navigator, which is still $140. want the bundle with the game instead, add $10....

talltony5027d ago

What is 10 bucks for a game to play with your new move controller? Im getting the bundle. Its a obvious choice.

YourCall5027d ago

Are you really that dellusional? You never gave a replacement price point for the game that comes with it. Certainly you can't just discard it and claim to be saving money. I would thing that the game is worth a least 10 bucks. Just because you don't want it doesn't mean that everyone else feels the same way.

It amazes me how some people can ignore the elephant in the room when that don't want to make a point, that's not really a point.

It's up alright, everything is up when you start from zero. Sony is too expensive. It's the supercomputer all over again. Move is the best they say...you will want to work harder to buy the $399 bundle with one controller, $499 with another controller and a game you WANT to play...lol. Look out everyone hot seller coming. Gee Sony can I buy one of your $4000 3D bundles and, and throw in a couple extra glasses at $150 a pop. Sony, we care about families and money...just not in that order.

mrv3215027d ago

To buy a 3D TV is like $1500 that's cheaper than HD TV's for the same size when they launch.

NEW TECHNOLOGY COSTS MONEY... it drops in price also. Speaking of which I just bought a 360 hard drive for $200 I hope it works with the SLIM... oh wait no :p I have to buy a new one.

madpuppy5027d ago (Edited 5027d ago )

and I really don't know how you did it. but, how did you get your 360 Mii avatar to look so smug and smarmy?

The only avatar that looks more smarmy has got to be the Arnold J. Rimmer one from that lunatic 360 fanboy "Bungie"

This Bundle is an incredible, Already reordered one.

MostJadedGamer5027d ago

Read my post above. The bundle is a complete, and total ripoff. Its cheaper just to buy everything seperately. All the bundle is; is you paying a extra $10 for a set of crappy mini games.

xman065027d ago

just stop please.

Move Controller= $50
Eye Camera= $40
Sports Champion= $40
Total for Bundle= $100

or buy them separate

Move Controller= $50
Eye Camera= $40
Sports Champion= $40
Total= $130

or the way you would purchase it

Move Controller= $50
Eye Camera= $40
Navigator Controller= $30 / optional
Total= $120 or $90

read up on a product first before posting nonsense. a navi control is not needed for the full Move experience.

Microsoft once tried to nab LittleBigPlanet from Sony after a few drinks

Microsoft had a good idea but fumbled it again.

Cacabunga3d ago (Edited 3d ago )

Project Spark idea was decent but they quickly gave up ..
LBP was wonderful

ApocalypseShadow4d ago

Microsoft in a nutshell. Always tried to poach Sony employees, games, 3rd party games and devices like the depth camera that was turned into Kinect but was running on PS2 before Xbox 360. Wouldn't be surprised they wanted LBP. Just like they worked behind the scenes pushing the MLB to bring Sony's baseball game to Xbox instead of making their own.
https://www.playstationlife...

They didn't spend years trying to develop their own baseball game. They wanted Sony's game.

They're scum.

Zachmo1823d ago

Microsoft didn't force MLB on Xbox. MLB gave Sony 2 options either go multiplat or risk losing the license.

Rynxie2d ago

And why do you think MLB said that? I believe Ms approached MLB.

ApocalypseShadow2d ago (Edited 2d ago )

Totally ridiculous comment.

The only exclusivity Sony had was to their own creation of The Show. Microsoft could have paid the MLB for the license just like Sony did and made their own baseball game.

Microsoft instead, groomed MLB for years in trying to poach Sony's game and bring it to Xbox. They're worth 3 TRILLION dollars. You think that's not enough money to make their own baseball game? Don't be delusional.

Microsoft spun it like they always do and told the media that they had to trust Sony with their hardware. After they put Sony in that position of not having a choice. Either go multiplatform or stop making one of their successful games. That's a no win scenario.

And what did Microsoft do? They didn't try to sell the game to the Xbox community. They put it on game pass to hurt Sony. Pushing the idea of why buy games that are $70 when you can play them in their cheap service for $10. It was a dirty tactic.

You fell for the Kool aid drink Microsoft served you instead of spitting it out. Hope it tasted good because you were fooled by Phil and the gang.

Xbox executive Sara Bond has told Axios that Microsoft spent a number of years trying to get MLB The Show onto Xbox consoles. And when it finally succeeded in breaking off PlayStation’s long-held exclusivity, the company had to “trust” Sony with pre-release Xbox Series X/S consoles.

Bond revealed that MLB The Show “always came up” in conversations between Microsoft and the Major League Baseball organization. “We always said, ‘We love this game. It would be a huge opportunity to bring it to Xbox.'” she recalled. However, when Microsoft’s efforts materialized, it put the company in an awkward situation where it had to send in pre-release consoles to a rival company.

Lying to yourself is unbecoming.

Article link tells you all you need to know in Sarah Bond's own words.

Hereandthere2d ago

They were too cheap/inept/lazy to develop their own mlb game, so they port begged for years and bribed the mlb to make the show multiplatform. Like i said many times, xbox brought nothing to the table their 24 years, ZERO.

ApocalypseShadow1d 20h ago

At least you and others get it. Note drank the Kool aid and asked for seconds thinking it was refreshing.

Most don't even know how it all played out but it's there in black and white for all to see. Microsoft brought it up for years until the MLB forced Sony's hand. It was a win win for Microsoft. Kill one reason to buy a PlayStation or kill the game by dropping it in a cheap service to kill Sony's sales numbers on PlayStation.

"However, Healey said Media Molecule wouldn't have felt right doing that, adding it would have been "morally corrupt"."

Major kudos to Media Molecule for being an upright studio with principles.

Cockney1d 15h ago

They chose well, Sony gave them the backing to pursue their dreams with no restrictions even tho their games especially dreams have very niche appeal. Media molecule and Sony deserve respect for this in an age of risk averse publishing.

RNTody3d ago (Edited 3d ago )

Great, more stories like this please. Show the last of the zombies holding the line what we've been saying for years: Microsoft is anti competition, anti industry and has no interest in making games at all.

But hey, at least there's an Xbox Games Showcase to look forward to, right?

Inverno3d ago

Well considering SONY just killed the series, LBP would've been dead by now either way. Though MM probably wouldn't exist by now either, so I'm glad they stayed with SONY, hopefully they don't get shut down any time soon or ever honestly.

Inverno3d ago

They shut down the servers, that's millions of user created levels gone. That and dead are pretty much the same, it's also been years since 3 and they cancelled HUB soooo.

2d ago
fsfsxii2d ago

They shutdown the servers because no one was playing, no one in the community cared about the user created levels so why keep them up? Wtf you guys would never succeed in running a business.

Inverno2d ago

Yea dood no one was playing so they shut off the servers. Cause people with enough common sense can't just Google why they were actually shut of, right?
