Ico and Shadow of the Colossus creator says he'll be showing something at TGS.

Andriasang: Hideo Kojima is on Twitter. Tetsuya Nomura is (sorta) on Twitter. And now, another major creator has joined the micro blogging craze. ICO and Shadow of the Colossus creator Fumito Ueda got his own Twitter account on July 27, and he's been making occasional updates since.

Ueda's updates are mostly lifestyle stuff. Of course, if you're into his games, you probably won't mind hearing about the computer he bought (a 15 inch MacBook Pro, although he feels that he should have gotten a 13 inch one) and what kind of cell phone he uses (an iPhone, and its battery was about to go out while he was on his way home at 27:00 one late Thursday night).

The Last Guardian + Team ICO Collection = WIN.

Digitaldude5024d ago

Probably just TLG footage which is pretty kickass.

sikbeta5024d ago

TLG + ICO Collection Remastered FTW!!!

Please Ueda, DO IT!

Team ICO FTW!!!

God_Of_Epicness5024d ago

I hope they reveal the date for The Last Guardian. That would be a big win for us PS3 gamers. I am quite sure they will at the very least reveal more detail about the game or show some game-play footage.

DigitalAnalog5024d ago

He DEFINITELY knows the HD collection is hotly anticipated. And....

gameplay vids of TLG. Gosh, I don't think I can take the awesome.

EVILDEAD3605024d ago

The only thing that was missing from E3...

I own Ico and honestly I'm cool with the upgrade and all..but Shadow HD would be absolute gaming HEAVEN...

Even if they don't show the old games..

Last Guardian new trailer + release date For The effing win!!!

gamerzBEreal175024d ago

Hell yeah! is right dude
how awsome to have ICO/SOTC bundled with TLG for about $79 best special edition ever?

Traveler5024d ago

Any news about The Last Guardian is good news. ICO and Shadow of the Colossus are two games that I don't hesitate to call art. They are two of the true masterpieces of gaming. Naturally my expectations for The Last Guardian are sky high.

JobForARockStar5024d ago

I bet they announce all of the other HD classics collections. Lots of rumors of Mortal Kombat, Splinter Cell and Prince of persia trilogies being made for the Ps3. Hopefully it happens. I was hoping they would announce this stuff at gamescon

I hope that "something" means Ico + Sotc: Collection and TLG, but I will gladly settle for just one :)

HeroXIV5024d ago

I'm betting TLG is at TGS! :D

Team ICO Collection Confirmed

Kingdom Come5024d ago

But am I the only one who would LOVE a Shadow of the Colossus 2? The first was easily a master-piece...

RedDead5024d ago (Edited 5024d ago )

First was boring if your not the type to take it in or go on that sort of an adventure, it was really unique is all I can say.

I would really love a HD Remake of it though. It was ahead of it's time I thought, extra bosses would be nice and some of the bosses could be a little less ummmmm...Retarded

colonel1795024d ago

Then, you would know they weren't "bosses"...

"would be nice and some of the bosses could be a little less ummmmm...Retarded"

...my point

Pedantic915024d ago (Edited 5024d ago )

If you cant learn to like the first one, then you dont deserve a HD remake of it.

My 2 cents.

RedDead5024d ago (Edited 5024d ago )

Umm Yes I did play it twice. I didn't say I didn't like it did I?
It is boring to all my friends because they aren't into wandering around looking for "Bosses" and yes they are bosses, other games have regular enemies and then a unique(mostly) challenging boss but this game just left out the enemies. Each of them are Unique, challenging and deserve the title of 'boss'.

Some of the bosses acted very stupidly, why does being huge mean your dumb? Slow big ones and fast small ones is this game. If I had a little man with a sword climbing up my back I would just lie down. They're targeting was slow aswell.

19425024d ago

you played a game that you say was boring twice? lol just go away kid you're just going to keep looking dumb if you don't stop now.

arakouftaian5024d ago

but for other people may look boring like when my gf saw me playing it, she tolds me it looks boring and i was like wtf is wrong whit you this is the best of the best .

DrillaKid5024d ago

Im pretty sure that ICO, SotC and TLG are a trilogy and the series finishes with TLG.

sikbeta5024d ago

I don't know pal, the Story can be huge, ICO is the first game but SoTC is a Prequel and we don't know where TLG fit...

DrillaKid5024d ago

I agree; we dont know much about the story of the trilogy nor about TLG but im assuming that since the boy has no horns he may be an ancestor of Wander from SotC; but your guess is as good as mine.

Also Ueda said he would like to focus on something different after TLG - an FPS if i remember the interview correctly.

Kingdom Come5024d ago (Edited 5024d ago )

Plays quite differently from the last and offers new ideas as to what can be achieved within the world. I want a title with Similar game mechanics to Shadow of the Colossus, the same Epic seemingly impossible "David & The Goliath"-esc atmosphere but with a more expansive game world, not necessarily allowing for human enemies, but perhaps give ruins of cities to scale giving more depth to the ageing beauty of the game world, and incorporate those locations within the combat, perhaps a colossus could be buried beneath the city ruins and erupt from below, just small things that are capable of adding more depth to the world and story...

I've played 15, and I wouldn't consider any of those underrated TBH. Some of them are pretty high rated.

banger88149d ago

That's amazing, Gamingbolt actually put all 15 games on the same page.

shinoff2183148d ago

I. Not seeing anything on that list underrated. I never played concrete genie, the ASTRO vr,and one other but I forgot the name already. Nothing on there was underrated at all imo.

persona4chie148d ago

There’s only 4 of those games I never played, and no most of those aren’t underrated.

The Last Guardian Is One of Gaming’s Most Beautiful Depictions of Friendship

Friendship is hard to depict accurately, but The Last Guardian does a good job of showing all its ups and downs through Trico and the boy.

Technical issues aside, this is easily one of my favorite games from last gen.

ClayRules2012833d ago (Edited 833d ago )

I couldn’t agree more. I’ll never forget the emotional experience I had with this game. After waiting all those years, and than to finally play it. It was a visual beauty, along with offering a story/friendship between the 2 characters that was unique and unforgettable. Far surpassed my expectations. A masterpiece!

Technical issues aside, never have I played anything quite like it!

Magog833d ago

I enjoyed the game but it started out too simple and easy. If the entire game was as intense and challenging as the last 20% it would have been a 10/10 experience.

EvertonFC833d ago

Great game, so underrated. One of my favourites and top 20 games of all time

Phoenix76833d ago

I managed to grab the collectors edition for £40 about a year after it released. Was an enjoyable game, but I had just finished Shadow of the colossus, and whilst I enjoyed it, it was not as good when compared.

Making Sense of Trico: The Last Guardian's Misunderstood Hero

To better understand why The Last Guardian's Trico clicked with some gamers and annoyed others, this article will explore the story behind the beast to see what makes it tick. Although a somewhat polarizing figure, Trico is a unique element of The Last Guardian that is equal parts captivating and mysterious.
