It should be selling much better.

CoffeewithChess5029d ago

would you recommend the game to Wii owners at its current price?

N4GAddict5029d ago

I think it is even though the playtime is a little short.

CoffeewithChess5029d ago

I'm guessing the leaderboards help add replay value for people that like the high score challenges.

I have read the game has about 4-6 hours of game-play, which is short I think for a retail game without full multiplayer of some sort.

dgroundwater5029d ago (Edited 5029d ago )

But for an arcade style shooter 4-6 hours is quite long. The replayability is a given with the high level of challenge and rockin music. Anyone interested in the genre will surely get a good two dozen hours out of this without batting an eye.

My cheap ass still hasn't bought it >:(

N4g_null5029d ago

I would love for some one to walk thur this game. A must buy you havnt played any thing like it. Most gamers will play it for 50 hours before beating it.

Oh yea, definitely. I just think people here, "4-6 hours" and are like..."That's a rental".

50 hours for one play-through? Or, 50 hours with the replay value the game offers?

I would recommend Star Successor at pretty much any price to anyone. Well, maybe not to people who don't like videogames/themselves.

"Most gamers will play it for 50 hours before beating it."

Maybe before putting it away forever; I cannot imagine it taking someone 50 hours to simply reach and defeat the end boss on any difficulty, especially the easiest. My first playthrough was on Normal with Isa and took me about eight hours straight through. The second time on Easy with Kachi, maybe about three. Skipping all cutscenes and knowing what to do, the next five times with the secret character option each took a little over two hours. Then Hard Mode, which I think took as long to go through Normal the first time around, so about eight hours there.

Since then, I've lost count of the number of replays, but each run has probably been stable around two hours. Maybe more the times I went through with the Classic controller just to see how it felt, and less for scoreruns for individual levels. Fun times.

I would recomend it to anyone, and yes..it's worth 50 bucks..

N4g_null5029d ago

Not quite it's more like contra for this gen. It's as much about your dodging skills as attacking method.

TruthbeTold5029d ago

I beat it on Normal, and while I can't yet imagine how I'll manage it, I plan to beat it on hard sometime in the near future. That game is difficult, and fun. Not to mention that it appears to be a nice warm up before Kid Icarus is released on the 3DS.

If you look at Super Mario Galaxy HD releases via emulator on Nvidia shield in China it should be super easy for any number of Wii games to do the same thing to be ported on the Switch as well! I really wonder what they are waiting for?!

ZeekQuattro2060d ago

I love The Last Story. Would be nice to get a sequel or at least a remaster.

The Top 10 Turtles in a Nintendo Game

Andrew N from Negative World says: "I like turtles! That’s no surprise to most of the members here, but few probably know the extent to which turtles were involved in the lives of myself and my family. Turtles were pretty much always a huge part of my childhood as far back as I can remember, and at one point we owned something like 30 of them at once! Some of the turtles that we owned were probably not quite legal, as we often got hand-me-downs from friends of the family who found a turtle in the wild, took it home to keep as a pet, realized they had no idea what they were doing, and passed it on to the only people in their circle that might know what to do with wild turtles, my turtle-loving family. So yeah, between the ones we bought and the ones that were given to us, we ended up with a lot of turtles."
