PS3 Version of Gothic 4 Delayed Until 2011

JoWood Entertainment has delayed the PlayStation 3 version of ArcaniA– Gothic 4 into the first half-year of 2011. The Xbox 360 and PC versions will still be released on October 12th, 2010.

I have room for any WRPG that has potential, so I say take all the time they need to make it as good for the PS3 as it is on the other platforms. If it turns out to be a good RPG, will more than likely get it on the PC if I'm not busy playing anything else, though.

The last version of this game scored a 63 on Metacritic, and now, basically, these guys planned on delivering the PS3 version, only, they obviously didn't plan well.

I've never heard of this game or the developers before, but if there's a chance they read N4G like some other game developers do...take my advice....

Scrap this for the PS3, because like I said,

um Gothic 3 was a very glitchy game, your taking this as a spin because its for PS3 and being delayed thus thinking that the commentor was being protective about it. Gothic 3 was one of the most glitch filled game,
i would rather have them delay it and get most of the glitch out

This RPG game is releasing in the same month as Fable 3. Not sure if that's the best idea. At least the fable 3 PC version is delayed so that should provide it some competitive room. It does look really good. Here's a video showing some of the environments...

Last Remnant lagged during battle. I think Square may have rushed that title to Xbox. I'm sure if they spent more time on it it would have turned out much better. As for it being released on PS3 I doubt Square wants to embarrass itself again.

I enjoyed the other Gothic titles, even though it seemed in some ways Gothic 2 was better than Gothic 3. It had fewer technical problems. I look forward to this RPG. I will be playing it on PC, of course.

As primarily a PC gamer, I am used to games being delayed for the PC, coming out months or even years later. It's really not that big of a deal. If the end result of the delay is a better experience for PS3 owners, it's a fair trade off for them.

Hell, look what comes out a few weeks later on the PS3. GT5, DCUO, LBP2, and a ton of sweet multiplat games. Though curious about delaying it till next year, since you'll have FF XIV being released.

No point in playing this on anything but PC. It was stupid of them to make the game for PS3 anyway. It might sell a bit on 360 but not enough. I know they want to be big triple A multiplatform developers, but they are going about it the entirely wrong way.

Mass Effect the only great rpg on 360, which can also be played on PC. PS3 has Demons Souls and Valkyria Chronicles only can be played on the PS3. All the jrpg has sold and played like sh!t on 360. You should check out Ni no Kuni: Shikkoku it's coming to PS3. You can keep your multplat rpg
