Xboxist writes: "Yes, EA has dump trucks full of money, but Linkin Park aren't exactly strapped for cash, and the group has never been particularly pro-war in the past. It makes us wonder if the group actually support the war, or whether they gave it much thought at all.
The new trailer for the game reads uncomfortably close to an Army recruitment video. It features hard charging special operatives kicking butt in Afghanistan (but no close-ups of actual blood). Given public distaste for the war, as well as the recent revelation by Wikileaks that special operatives are being used to assassinate targets on a shadowy 'kill list', it seems that the realities of this war are far from the good guy/bad guy dichotomies we are used to seeing in video games."
EA senior staff has been investigated for sexual misconduct involving female coworkers, and these said people have been named publicly.
Aye just call Phil, i mean he somehow made Bobby Kotick's scandal disappear and gave him a few million dollar high five on the way out.
EA about to go down like Activision and then Phil saves the day saying.this is good for the industry and consolidation will help create competition. /s.
What's up with all these horny creeps. You gon be horny, fine. Just not at work take care of that shit before you go in. Rub one out if you have to. Don't be a creep at all. ESPECIALLY at work. But don't be one AT ALL.
"it seems that according to EA, given the events transpired outside of work between two adults, and the fact that once investigation has started that the alleged perpetrators didn’t do it again, the investigation is considered closed. [...] The victim still has to work with the people that harassed her."
Yep, EA is disgusting.
EA has announced it will engage in a shareholder-pleasing share buyback program just a couple of months after mass layoffs at the studio.
Ibrahim from eXputer: "The Medal of Honor franchise was once the crown jewel of FPS war games, later defeated by the tides of time and poor development."
They tried to turn it into Call of Duty and it killed it off. They should reboot it and go back to it's roots. But they'd ruin it with online-only/multiplayer style bullshit so why bother? I have very fond memories of these games, but this series can stay dead as far as I'm concerned.
Was literally just thinking of this game the other week with the secret nut cracker mission and the shooting Bismarck dog lmao. Loved these games as a kid
I have fond memories of playing the Medal of Honor Breakthrough MP Demo. It had two maps and custom servers. Living on campus, I had it downloaded on one of the PC Lab servers so I could access it on any computer at the university. Joined a clan and made friends that I still keep in touch with today.
I think it's more a case of bands not even really caring where their music is used, as long as it generates money.
There are lots of cases of music being used in films / advertisements where the message is totally opposite to what the song was saying, but it gets used anyway. Never underestimate the stupidity of consumers and the cynicism of advertisers.
Linkin Park probably supports anything that gets them more money.
The story of the game is about the daring soldiers that put their lives on the line. Listen to the lyrics and their song is telling the same story...You might not support the war, but support the troops.
What kind of question is this? They are just doing it for the money.
