How many cars did Burnout: Paradise have?

AndrewRyan5018d ago

But... GT5 has over 950 cars.

TrevorPhillips5017d ago

1000+ cars :)

And EA will obviously release new cars for DLC

vsr5018d ago

Ok. how many DVDdiscs on xbox?

DeadlyFire5018d ago

Come on guys you know its EA behind this. They are going to have DLC car packs to download. You know that.

AAACE55018d ago

You must be one of those young gamers who is all about quantity!

The old...uhh... the good NFS games used to only have the exotic cars that people wanted but couldn't afford! It was about having the fastest car you could control and racing!

I know this might seem strange to you, but once they started making modified cars and doing the whole fast and furious thing... the series started sucking, and they have been trying many different things to give it life again!

This game is what real NFS fans want! Racing and cop chases! I have been waiting on this for years, and Criterion better not F*ck it up!

nix5018d ago (Edited 5018d ago )

less than a GT5 demo?

oh well.. i hope the game is good. i really miss the NFS series.

Kurt Russell5018d ago

AAACE5 is right... it's not about having 1000 cars, it's about having a few top motors and cops chasing you round some southern state town of USA.

Dickless tramps like vsr and other teenagers of the same ilk won't get what gaming is and has always been about :/

nycredude5018d ago

Kurt Russel

Why don't you enlighten us all as to what gaming is all about then... smart ass. Get off your high horse, gaming is about having fun, and I haven't had fun playing a NFS game in a long time.

Kurt Russell5017d ago

but the reason you haven't had fun in a NFS has nothing to do with a lack of cars or graphical blu-ray busting graphics is it? It's because they're shit in the gameplay department. You're arguing with me and stressing my point at the same time?

GWAVE5018d ago

And to think that some "journalists" gave this game Racing Game of the Show at E3 this year....

*tsk tsk tsk*

BeaArthur5018d ago

They probably liked it and thought it was impressive and how would you know one way or another because you haven't played it. I'm sure you are implying (based on your track record of fanboyism) that GT5 should have won it again but how many years in a row can the same game win? At this point many journalists aren't as wowed by GT5 because they have seen it year after year. Don't presume that just because you hold an opinion that everyone else holds that same opinion. We all know that GT5 is going to be the more impressive better selling game but that doesn't make NFS any less impressive.

demonddel5018d ago (Edited 5018d ago )

Well said Bearthur those Sony boys are some annoying little kids and they refuse to accept any game that's not exclusive to the PS3 I don't know how they look themselves in the mirror knowing they act like that

Redempteur5018d ago

depends if you count dlcs or not but that's about the same number overall

GigaGaia5017d ago

It had 75 cars originally. More came with DLC. It got bikes, cops and robber cars and others.

NFS lost it charm after most wanted

DelbertGrady5018d ago (Edited 5018d ago )

...and regained it as soon as I heard Criterion were behind it. When it comes to racing games that aren't sims these guys are the best imo.

@dosgrtr - I think Paradise is the best in the series. Followed by Burnout 3.

dosgrtr5018d ago

burnout:paradise?i thought going open world for burnout was the worst decision made by them, loved all burnouts except that one, this game's open world too

Redempteur5018d ago (Edited 5018d ago )

well burnout paradise and burnout 3 for me as well

paradise because no course is the same online
3 because it introduced takedowns.

and i also agree with dark hollow that the NFS after most wanted were as duller as you can get ..so yep people can enjoy burnout paradise .

i sure did.

Also another hot pursuit is all that i wanted .. no more of this fast and furious crap ... i want races , speed , polices chases and fun with high profile cars ...

antz11045018d ago

For the most part but the new trailer looks epic and shows promise imo.

Ares84PS35018d ago

But don't forget that this is a reboot and done by the guys who made Burnout Paradise.

This could be a good game and since I was never a Gran Turismo fan NFSHP is my most wanted racer this year. So far Burnout Paradise is my favorite racer of all time and I hope that this could live up to it since there isn't another Burnout announced yet.

Sneak-Out5018d ago

Burnout Paradise has 85 oder 87 Cars

Tailor-DKS5018d ago

sounds nice, but i won't buy it....

Forbidden_Darkness5018d ago

Watched some gameplay and now i wont ether, i'd rather have another burnout paradise, this doesnt look so 'hot'.

Looking Back to Two of Need for Speed's Best Games - Most Wanted and Hot Pursuit

Paul writes - "EA know a good thing when they see it, and for multiple years November was Need for Speed month. In a break from the usual routine, I'm going to be looking back at two games here, released in 2005 and 2010 respectively. The earlier game is Need for Speed: Most Wanted, which has the distinction of being one of the very best in the franchise. The second game comes from 2010, and is Need for Speed Hot Pursuit; which I'll talk about just as the Remastered version of the game has hit the stores."

Hotpursuit 2 was good as well.

The-Matrix-has-you155d ago (Edited 155d ago )

I completely adore this game! In fact its probably my favorite racing game. I recently dusted off my xbox 360 to play Most Wanted 2005. Still a great game, though I do not remember there being such horrible performance. Like massive frame-pacing issues. screen tearing, latency. If any game ever truly needed to be remastered, it this one for sure!

Uuuu, I loved this one. I want it.

LucasRuinedChildhood1308d ago

No NFS released since Hot Pursuit (2010) has came close. The Ghost Games NFS games were just dreadful (to me they were anyway, 2015 was okay I suppose). Would love to replay this and I hope it has an update for next-gen as well.

DarkZane1308d ago (Edited 1308d ago )

I loved Most Wanted as well (on PS3, I think it released in 2012). After that, it has gone downhill, but the latest games are slowly coming back up. I loved NFS Heat, but it needs to get better before it comes back to same level as NFS Hot Pursuit and Most Wanted.

Then again, NFS Hot Pursuit and Most Wanted were likely better because they were from Criterion (in fact, those were the last 2 games from criterion in nfs series).

LucasRuinedChildhood1308d ago

@DarkZane
complete agree. Most Wanted was good fun as well.

boing11308d ago

Yeah, Criterion has made two best NFS games in my opinion.

georeo1308d ago

Oh yes! They cops vs the drivers online was a blast.

LucasRuinedChildhood1308d ago

Better be 60FPS unlike the original console ports.

Sgt_Slaughter1308d ago

I would be excited but NFS is basically dead in the water at this point, a shell of its former self.
