Get an early look at some big upcoming PlayStation 3 games including Motorstorm: Apocalypse in 3D and PlayStation Move titles The Shoot and The Fight: Lights Out when Abbie Heppe travels to Comic-Con 2010 in this X-Play Preview.
Digital Foundry : Evolution Studios' Motorstorm is one of the first, finest and most fondly remembered of launch titles for PlayStation 3. It's a release designed to answer the question posed by each new console generation: what makes a game 'next-gen'? With its robust physics engine and massive tracks, Motorstorm serves up a bold affirmative answer to this question, delivering an experience that could never have existed on prior console hardware. At the same time, the path to release was fraught with challenges that almost serve as a microcosm of the PlayStation 3 release situation itself. It was a success, however, with a trilogy of PS3 releases, plus PSP, Vita and even PS2 off-shoots.
After Driveclub and Onrush, the dev team will now contribute to and assist with the development of the upcoming NFS.
Never really got into it myself I remember getting it with ps3 and being a bit underwhelmed I preferred the RC version they did for vita 🙌🏻🤣
The top five of the best PlayStation Move compatible light gun games that have been released for the PlayStation 3.
House of the Dead 3 and 4 should be on the list. I still play Overkill on a regular basis, worth buying a move just for that game alone. The Cabela games that support move are fun too.
Is Rambo, Move compatible? And there is also Child Of Light which is sort of a shooting game.
i wish they also made light guns like the arcade ones. they r faster at aiming and more accurate..
Robert Workman (Prima Games): Sony experimented with its cloud-based PlayStation Now service over the past several months, but few people took advantage of it due to the high prices. After all, who wants to pay $40 to rent Earth Defense Force 2025 for 90 days when you can buy it on your PS3 for $20 at GameStop? That said, the company remedied this problem with the introduction of a new subscription model that kicks off next week. Whether you pay $19.99 a month or $44.99 for three months, there's more value offered with this program.
With that, over 100 games will be available at launch to choose from, with unlimited play for each of the titles (without extra fees). These include a number of obscure games and popular favorites. With that in mind, we have 10 suggestions for what you should play after signing up, so you can get the most from your seven-day trial.
I will be on board with this as soon as they can offer the completely lineup of specific franchises. I don't want to sign up to play Uncharted if I can't play parts 2 and 3. Likewise I don't want to play Killzone 3 when I haven't played 1 or 2.
Hmm... Only 3 are must plays in my opinion. But that's my opinion. Not the author's nor yours. Only mine.
I think its very important for Sony to really show how the Move is true one to one compared to the wii just using pre scripted animations when you do the movement. That is one of the things that really differentiates the two. The fight really doesn't look very appealing to me unless its a 10 or 15 dollar downloadable title and the shoot is pretty much the same.
However, Motorstorm Apocalypse looks like Split Second on steroids. While it was a good idea to have the person trigger events in that game I like the fact that Apocalypse will allow you to master its courses since it does the same thing every time while having that awe factor due to the 3D, the graphics, and the speed element.
Playstation got a lot of momentum coming this year and next. If they come out with a Bundle PS3 Slim 80 GB w/ free GT5 for $250 b4 Christmas then it's going to kill the charts. PS Move/PS3 bundle looks good, think they should drop the price a bit.
The Fight($40) looks like it could've been better, but still a lot more fun then Kinect's $50 shovelware. I like my Wii's table tennis, but after seeing Sports Champ Table Tennis, it's just no comparison.
I expect Sony to go all out in Gamescom, simply because EU is probably the most important market territory for them right now.
I wish there is a surprise comeback like Eight Days or The Getaway (yeah I won't get tired of hoping for those 2) or at least an Agent trailer with confirmation again of its exclusivity.
I expect more of GT5, but this time really impressing us with damage, visuals and gameplay.
I expect more of Infamous 2, another level of KZ3 and maybe a short in-game trailer of Resistance 3 showing a considerable engine improvement with the help of Sony's first party studios.
Maybe I'm expecting too much, but I think they should grab the EU market by the b@lls. Now it's the time.
Why isnt the x360 slim 250 dollars? You people need to start demanding M$ lower the price because as of right now you are paying far to much for an x360 that barely has the proper stuff included for it to be an actual next gen system. Im seriously pissed at people nitpicking at the ps3 price but not saying anything about the x360 that is 300 and doesnt have blueray, free online, sey awesome AAA games in a variety of genres, hulu, web browser, actual good motion controller option, and better mutlipalts with
red dead redemption having exclusive ps3 content with exclusive gang hideout, missions, clothes. Mafia 2 having exclusive character missions, all japanese rpgs and fighters having more content, dead space having exclusive dead space extractions. assasins creed brother hood having exclusive ps3 content, portal 2 having steamworks on ps3 and said to be the best console version by gabe newell himself.
Im sorry but people need to stop clowning around and kidding themselves. save up the extra 50 and pick up the ps3. Theres no freaking excuses. trade in them old x360,wii, ds games and consoles and get it. There really is no freaking excuse at this point. it almost makes me sick at how M$ dont got shi7 yet dont get attacked for the rediculous 300 dollar price for there system and no the x360 arcades dont count. no hardrive, no wifi, no blueray, 50 bucks for online, weaker hardware, rrod, only shooters for games..
