Parapraxis5032d ago

wow..tagging too? this game is un-freaking-believable.

C L O U D5032d ago

Wow, wish I was there that looks sooooooo epic.

Reeperdotcom5032d ago

They should just put DLC packs for SFIV of characters belonging to different games. Now, I know they couldn't do that with the Tekken vs SF but seriously...did they really need to make 2 separate games?

Just come out with Tekken vs SF and for those who don't want to buy it, can pay for DLC packs with the same characters and just use SFIV to play them.

UnSelf5032d ago (Edited 5032d ago )

i was just thinking the same exact thing

all this money wasted to make 2 new games with the same engine when they can just add DLC and new slots.

Im sure we all would rather have a Street Fighter Alpha 4

Baka-akaB5032d ago

except it is really too soon to make that complain .
Sure it looks like the old sf4 and probably t6 games... but do they really have the exact same gameplay mechanics ? remains to be seen .

And i doubt current sf4 players would be entirely happy to be shoved down the throat via dlc , mechanics suiting tekken chars better .

Might as well just do a new game

Optical_Matrix5032d ago (Edited 5032d ago )

Noob. No they can't. If you play close attention to the video the gameplay mechanics are different to SSFIV. How are they meant to patch the FUNDEMENTAL CODE OF THE GAME with DLC?

Simon_Brezhnev5032d ago

They really dont need 2 games. If so they damn well better put both on blu-ray disc for no more then $70.

jetlian5032d ago

did it probably to give fans the style prefer. I like 3d fighters more than 2d ones. So if i was only to get one i would pick up TvsC since it will play like a regular tekken game.

Someone else who likes 2d would rather have its CvsT style.

Another thing is it could just be a money thing. How do you decide how much to give to the one company whos not developing the game and how much is the license of said game worth. this way they both make a game and keep whaever their version makes without a lot of legalitys.

only problem I see happen is 2d version will sell more and namco could get pissed

Reibooi5032d ago

From what I have been able to figure out what they are doing makes perfect sense.

Namco is making a game that is using the Tekken Fighting Engine with street Fighter Characters in it

While Capcom is making a game with the SFIV fighting engine with Tekken characters in it.

The 2 games will be VERY different based solo on game play because as fighting fans know Tekken and Street Fighter are VERY different fighting games.

badz1495032d ago

but after the long drought of SF games since SFIII, we're now kinda get a new SF game every year frickin year since SFIV! aren't Capcom trying to milk it a bit too much this time with SF? at least that's what I think

I know its a long stretch, but I hope they put in 2D mode.

hi25032d ago (Edited 5032d ago )

but i was hoping for a tekken x capcom not the other way around,i mean i wanted the street fighter cast to adopt a realistic look like the tekken series, but this is awesome too!

edit:woah!there are gonna be 2 games,sweet!

JackSchitt5032d ago (Edited 5032d ago )

Namco are making Tekken X Street Fighter which will have a 3D fighting system also. This is Street Fighter X Tekken with SFIV fighting system.

There's gonna be 2 games.

Street Fighter X Tekken - A Look Back at the Franchise's Biggest Misfire

With Street Fighter 6 now upon us, it's time to look back at some classic Street Fighter titles, beginning with Street Fighter X Tekken.

It was a cool gamble imo. In reality, everyone were waiting for Namco version, Tekken X Street Fighter.

Ryuha1234h331d ago

I don’t know. I enjoyed this game. I thought it was a great crossover.

TricksterArrow331d ago (Edited 331d ago )

Yep, played very little of it, but from what I played, it was serviceable enough. Could've been better? Yes, but then again, you can say that about pretty much anything.

maniacmayhem331d ago

What killed this game was their planned reliance on GaaS with the whole gem system. It made little sense and made the game extremely unbalanced. Not to mention the unbalance of most of the characters, especially on the Tekken side

Sgt_Slaughter331d ago

Ahhh the game that Capcom had DLC on the disc on release yet you had to pay to unlock it

Street Fighter & Tekken - A Mash-Up Not Meant for Greatness

VGChartz's Daniel Parker: "Tekken and Street Fighter - two giants of the head-to-head fighting genre. A clashing of decades-old titans that was once thought to be a dream matchup that would never happen. It ignited a flame of excitement that quickly fizzled out and became a cautionary tale for game developers."

The inclusion of gems ruined it from the start.
