As awesome as this deal is, it doesn't seem to be active now. I was just over on Ubi's website trying to get the deal, and when you add it to your cart it shows up as $14.99, not $9.99. Earlier it was marked as $9.99 and some people got it at that price, but they ended up changing it even though the price tag still said $9.99. Now it all seems to be at $14.99. But regardless, apparently you can also use the coupon code THANKS10 to get another $1.00 off.

Dir_en_grey5047d ago (Edited 5047d ago )

and the $1.00 off coupon code is "10THANKS" instead of THANKS10.

So people can get this game for $8.99 + tax or no tax depending on your state.

You will get the 12 digit PSN download code for both the game and the t-shirt (on their site and sent to your email) after you buy it, so all you have to do is enter the PSN code on August 10th.

Very awesome, thanks Ubisoft!!

I have no idea what the geniuses over at Ubisoft are doing, but they've fixed it now... sort of. I called them to see if I could get the price they were advertising with the pre-order, and they were no help at all. I couldn't even get a word out edge-wise, they were just telling me that "we don't give out information on a game before release"... what does that even have to do with my problems pre-ordering? I have no idea, but they were no help.

Well anyway, I refreshed the site again about 15 minutes ago and the price displayed and showing up in my cart was back down to $9.99. The coupon code "10THANKS" is also working now (my apologies on not typing it right earlier. I couldn't edit my post above). But I still ran into problems through checkout. It continuously gave me errors when I tried to use debit or credit cards (cards I had used not even 24 hours prior on other sites), and eventually I had to use Paypal in order for it to work. But the total checkout cost with the promo code came out to be $8.99. So I'm glad I was able to get the pre-order, but overall I'm very disappointed with Ubisoft customer service.

EDIT: Heh, seems I replied less than a minute after you Dir_en_grey, but yeah that's basically what I was saying :P.

For people having problems with buying with credit card, make sure that if you are using plugins like NoScript or Adblock etc that it is not blocking some of the scripts needed to run the credit card check out and information forms.

For NoScript you can right click and select temporaray allow whatever script shown on that check out page. Then revoke temporary permissions after check out.

Yeah I thought it might be something like that, but I was not running any plug-ins beyond the base essentials. I had even tried it on two different PC's, both with the same result. I even disabled my IP Blocker, but no difference. And considering I placed orders through Newegg and other sites earlier in the day it leads me to believe that it's Ubisoft's fault on this. Their site just seems to be poorly scripted, as I even had trouble just getting logged in to my account with them.

After reading a few comments from other forums and all, I learned that I apparently haven't been the only one over the past few days either that has been having problems with their site as well as ordering this from them.

I would get this game if it had micheal cera in it.

UltimateIdiot9115047d ago

For the very same reason, I would not get the game.

UltimateIdiot9115047d ago

WHYYYY!!!

I have money on my PSN wallet, I don't want to spend another $10 instead of my fund but I don't want to spend $15 either. Blah, I guess I'll preorder.

The 10 Best Comic Book Video Games of All Time

From Xfire: "You'd think that there would be more good comic book video games (outside of the obvious superhero ones) released over the years, but the truth is, they are quite rare. Thankfully, a growing number of studios are tapping into this valuable resource to bring audiences the best comic book video games."

This Doesn’t Redeem You, Ubisoft

Re-releasing Scott Pilgrim vs The World doesn't fix things quite that easily.

"But because of some absolute scumbags at the top, I can’t in good conscience even think about giving this company a dollar at the moment. It would be like if Konami suddenly announced that PT and Silent Hills was coming back that would be great, but you also have to wonder what made them changed their mind."

You really did not have much to go on, but that just exposed how out of touch, fan news driven and un-industry you are. I get that you think that your heros can do no wrong and all, but get back to gaming kiddo. Squeak on.

Meanwhile, they are looking for contributors to deliver more of this. :/

Should they just stop producing anything until people suddenly forgive them?

I had this on PS3. Absolutely a treasure and all the homages to retro gaming was brilliantly executed. If you want a beat ‘em up that feels a bit like Shovel Knight in its retro love and a River City Rampage RPG, this is for you.

Its a rarity when a Movie and its game land so well. Enjoyed both of these immensely

darthv721345d ago

I never saw the movie or played the game. I feel so left out but Im glad this is coming back so I can finally play it. I've heard nothing but good things about it. I still need to see the movie though.

The Wood1345d ago

You should definitely watch the movie. Fun film

Teflon021345d ago

Literally played through and 100%'d River City Girls and literally said to myself, they really need to rerelease Scott Pilgrim or I'm pulling out my PS3 again with it on it. IMO the best beat em up I've ever played. So happy, I legit may buy on switch, ps4 and PC

Chocoburger1345d ago

Probably the best game Ubisoft released for the past decade. The only digital game I've ever pre-ordered with no regrets. Fantastic game, not sure if I'll buy it again since I have my PS3 readily available.
If you enjoyed Turtles in Time, or Streets of Rage in the past, then don't let this game pass you by!

NecrumOddBoy1344d ago

I highly recommend Ubi Framework games like Valiant Hearts.

robtion1344d ago

The movie is directed by Edgar Wright (Cornetto trilogy) and is quirky and great fun.

The game is also great retro fun and has been unavailable for years as it was delisted from the PS3 store. Will definitely pick it up for PS4.

Unknown_Gamer57941344d ago

Is it odd that I never watched the movie, and read a bit of the first volume of the graphic novel and found it kind of boring, but love the game? I still have this on my PS3 actually. I never did get the DLC though so I'm glad this is happening. Now I just have to decide if I want it on my PS4 or Switch.
