if friggin goldeneye can't sell on the wii then 3rd parties should simply abandon the platform because nothing will.

dirigiblebill5045d ago

Some third parties do well out of Wii, to be fair - Ubi's Just Dance hasn't exactly disappeared without trace. But as far as shooters are concerned, it's a bit of a blind alley, yes...

matey5045d ago

1.5 million copies of mw wii to date is amazing sales u weird git 700,000 conduit 1 so far with 500,000 hod overkill and 600,000 red steel all cod have done near or over a million with no advertising ect wii software sales are the best on the market way better at selling hardcore games then ps3 ect try advertising and there is no competition

Vojkan5045d ago

this game look like turd, like game from 2005, who cares! You have so many incredible shooters on HD consoles, why would anyone waste their time on this joke?
I know nostalgic nerds will give me disagrees but i am speaking the truth, and you know it.
BTW it will bomb, big time.

chidori6665045d ago (Edited 5045d ago )

People still buy only Mario/Metroid/Zelda in wii.. :/

ChronoJoe5045d ago

They don't buy metroid.

The metroid collection, all 3 games in 1... with motion support... had abysmal sales. It's such a great package too.

kraze075045d ago

"with motion support..."

There's your answer right there. Apparently the masses think hardcore games with motion control support can only be done on the PS3.

kraze075044d ago

I meant the masses of fanboys here on N4G.

matey5045d ago

u prick black ops is going to be the best version on wii i think because th graphics will be so close it will hurt 360 owners ect and with full IR controls and wii chat through headbanger ect i know where im playing black ops this year on the wii with conduit 2 and goldeneye wii IN A BIT

Blaze9295044d ago (Edited 5044d ago )

Activision doesn't own the Goldeneye IP, Nintendo does. Microsoft tried to bring it to the 360 awhile back but they and Nintendo couldn't come to an agreement. So this being exclusive is purely Nintendo's doing.

dirigiblebill5044d ago (Edited 5044d ago )

It's not as clear cut as that, from what I can see. Rare and Nintendo own the copyright between them, and Rare is now owned by Microsoft. Don't forget that there's a movie license to reckon with here too...

I've mailed Acti for clarification.

ChronoJoe5045d ago

I'd love a move port, so long as you can use a controller - too.

spooky2055044d ago

Most people on this site already own a wii. Most ps3 core gamers already plan on buying move. Im sure most would rather pick up the ps3 version with move support over the regular wii version. Unless of course they dont purchase move. But even then some may just want a traditional controller for a shooter instead of a wiimote.

If move takes off this could mean we may see ports of great third party wii games (not that there are many) like no more heroes and such.

ghostgaming5045d ago

Game looks kinda lackluster - will get the conduit 2 to fill my FPS needs for the wii.

Another L for Xbox, when are they going to have good news?

MrDead3d ago

I would read the article but the giant pop-ups from the top and bottom of the screen made me close it.

Without reading $23.4 million isn't a deterrent for a company that size.

Boss: Let's fire a few people to recoup on that loss.
Slave: Cortana has decided to get rid of Arkane Austin and Tango Gameworks.
Boss: Let's get those Firing Letters "Copilot Approved" and send them through the power of the cloud.
Slave: Long Live Phil !!!
ALL in the room: LONG LIVE PHIL !!!!

Well another troll company with a patent trying to extort money out of companies. Seems like they’re going to try and sue everyone.

Not enough drain them for more, fuck Blizzard POS company.

Look, to be honest the FTC should just stop.

MS has A/B and nothing has really changed yet...if you are worried about 5-10 years from now...just drop it cause the future is unpredictable.

Take this week's news, that 4 Xbox exclusive are going Multiplatform.
