EX: "Video games are an expensive hobby, particularly if you're a cash-strapped college student who enjoys Modern Warfare 2 marathons and World of Warcraft raids as much as Friday night pub crawls and weekend fraternity parties. Understandably, as a result, it's necessary to be discriminatory when selecting which titles are worth dropping $60 bucks on. More times than not, these games end up being the high profile projects, the ones that are not only top-tier in quality, but highly popular due to rave reviews and tons of marketing."
A new SEGA / Atlus Switch eShop sale started up this week, which includes the lowest prices ever for various games including Persona 3 Portable, Sonic Origins Plus, and more.
Cultured Vultures: In the spirit of preserving some kind of history of this industry, we’ve decided to list some of the best games that you just simply can’t get hold of digitally at the minute.
I just started playing Spec op. I've had it for years on steam and forgot about it. Such a good game.
Honorable mention to the excellent Driveclub, one of the best racing games of all-time and one of my favourite games ever.
Outrun Online Arcade, Sega Rally Online Arcade, After Burner Climax... all good stuff. I keep my 360 hooked up to play these as well as the TMNT games that were also delisted.
wow...I have all of them except the Nintendo ones either in physical or digital version.
Also..Deadpool the Game is missing on that list.
Many overlooked RPGs lie dormant in the catalogues of gaming, but players can pick up their swords and shields with these amazing JRPG hidden gems!
Persona 3 -- definitely overlooked. My gamestop had two copies.
Singularity -- overlooked. Don't remember seeing one ad for it.
Limbo -- Eh. Too early to call. Looks awesome.
Naughty Bear -- Thought it sucked.
Toy Story 3 -- Too kiddy for my taste.
A few decent games on here, but nothing that screams buy me except, maybe, Persona 3 Portable.
To me the most glaring is Singularity. I'm constantly amazed at how fun and imaginative this game is, and stunned that Activision left it to die.
Limbo looks hot to me. It does. Style and animations are very slick. But even if they weren't, everyone would swing from its sack because it's 2-d and people think anything retro, simple and throwback = epic!!!!
It's absurd to think this way but this is the mind of the delusional, one dimensional gamer. It's like that one game where you play as a condom in a woman's vagina. Everyone is swinging on that games sack and it's stupid. For what? Why? Because it deals with a taboo topic and it's 2-d, throwback/retro. Gamers are predictable.
Persona 3 definitely deserves more recognition. I'd also like to add Blazblue: Continuum Shift to that list. I think it'll slip under a lot of people's radars when it's released later in the month.
